hope everybodies right on the forward post just ordered 2 of them for my sons and my sled from wildchild

I'm with you Fiddy! I ordered one this summer and put it on but haven't gotten out on the snow yet this year. You may want to start tearing down the sleds in advance of receiving the posts. They take longer to install than you would think, and I would like to think I'm pretty mechanically savy.

Just my $.02.

I just stuck one in. You may need to do some re-routing of your electrics, throttle, and brake cables. The plastic cover that houses the choke (carbie) and ignition key is rubbing on the post when full turn left/right so I need to wedge out some of the plastic so it doesnt rub too much. You may also need to notch the hood.

I cant wait to get mine out, it had a forward post last season but from the top section onwards (after where it connects to the steering support) was bent about 25 degrees forward which made steering way harder than it should have been!

Works Great

I bought a KingCat Late last year and it had a forward mounted steering post, I am not sure who made it but I have rode the last two weekends and impressed the way the KK handles with your weight forward, I ride standing up most of the time and I am tall so I am not bent over like I was on my Mod 900 1M, I was on 4 ft of new powder today and with the steering post and new Power Claw 162 I was truly impressed, you will new to mod what ever hood you are running and longer cables and brake line but well worth it, the pictures show what I did with tack and key and choke, It was awesome today with this much snow so early and still snowing MADDOGWFO

I just did mine this fall, used the one from CR Racing same as WC. You'll most likely have to notch one bracket and one of the motor mounts.

i just moved the stock post forward on my 01 800, i even used the stock airbox. I had to clearance the right carb and move the bottom of the post to the right about half an inch but its all together now

Where did you go to find 4 ft of powder? I am in Davenport.

Sorry Tim

Tim I was not quite true but some of the drifts were that deep and no base, a honest 2 to 3 feet everywhere else it was a good day of riding, you good get off road in many places. Fiddy if you like I could pull my air box and take a picture where the chassie had to be notched so you could turn the post, just let me no, MASDDOGWFO

Hope these help

Fiddy here are the pictures you asked for, without cutting back bracket the post would hit it when turning, still not sure who made this one. MADDOGWFO
