The "Nervous" feeling

Am I the only person that gets that feeling the night before. It's more of anxiety then nervousness. There's just something about thinking of getting back on the sled after 5 weeks that's keeping me up watching sled videos even though I can barely keep my eyes open.

5 weeks? What are you nervous about? I thought watching snowmobile videos should get you all excited!

That's the feeling I'm.trying to explain Chris.

Tomorrow will be 5 weeks from when I split my leg open. I just want to get back up there . Words can't describe the feeling of adrenaline and anxiety I have.

Haha^^^. I can always counts on inspirational words of wisdom from Mafesto.

I'll tell you this Minten, it's good you get that feeling about riding whether it's been 5 months or 5 minutes. No other feeling like the first WOT of the day.

I do know the feeling you describe,,, however it came from knowing during the day that i was getting off work early and was going to hit the lake in my flat bottom ......nuthin like it...was king of the lake for many..many years.

nothing turns harder...is more violent...and has more raw power than a on the edge hard chargin v-drive...these snowmobiles come close and offer more freedom....but for g-force brute power...the sleds fall a little short .

always thought this might be it...my last day on the lake....came close a couple of times...but what a rush

just my opinion :usa2:

yeah so what happened with ur ginourmous cut!?

lol you'll be fine. just accept the fact that anything can happen with this sport some of us if not all are so addicted to, and riiiiiiiide.

dont let a little cut get to you there are dangers everywhere you go dude, and many dangers on the mountains.

I thought id throw in a

Rest In Peace to the fallen riders

as well.

Well all went great today! Knee did okay. I tried to use it as little as possible. I did end up ripping a huge hole in my jacket though. Pictures of that will be uploaded tomorrow. I found a decent sized tree well and decided to take a dive. Not the best of ideas.

Pictures and video are a little blurry, it was wet out, they should suffice until tomorrow.

We did do home made vents though so I don't have any repeat incidents though it was rather freak...

Not the best of video but all of my others are fogged up or covered up....

I wasn't sure how today was going to be but I can't wait to head up tomorrow.

Why wouldn't your knee be "ok" after 5 weeks? its not like you broke anything you just got a cut.

In 2005 and 20007 I tore my ACL, MCL and Meniscus the first one was in the left knee the second one was in the right knee. I rode 4 weeks like that the first time around and 6 weeks the last time like that before going to get surgery. I never give a second thought to getting back on a sled.

I understand what you are saying. My internal stitches are still in my knee for another 2 weeks before they disolve. I found out that I have about 25 still....

The reason I'm not doing anything is simple, I'm a very active person and want to fully heal. I have missed
2 track meets and last Thursday was my first. Throwing is not hard but I don't want to end up in a situation.
And finally when I get old and to your age I don't want to suffer the consequences.of an event that happened when I was 15.

Anyways, I'm heading up to the mountains. Hopefully I remember to clean the lenses today.

Tell me you are wearing knee armor!

I get the nerves the day of filming.. usually right about the time to "perform" but it goes away as quick as the the thumb meets handlebar...

I actually like the feeling, adrenaline, reminds you your alive and living a pretty killer life!

meh, usually I get nerve right before I start a carve that I know I could mess up and roll. But once I actually start the carve and I can feel the sled doing exactly what I want it is the greatest feeling ever!
