maddog you can call my brother for ideas as he runs willenborg repair here in manning, do not shop on price alone as that will bite you in the long run, too many repairs!

30 foot is too small for 1,000 bushel?

Oh yea! Not sure 1000 would even fit.

I can barely get 1000 bu legally on our day cab with the light trailer. 24000# empty weight is light. Our day cab is a freight liner Columbia with a Mercedes engine (which is a low HP engine). And our light trailer is a 40' Stoughten that is all aluminum. It is too light. Has been back to the dealer 3 times because it breaks. Stay away from a Stoughten! Unless you want to buy mine!!!!

And to be at that 24000# empty I have to have very little fuel and no mud under the truck.

There are lighter trucks out there but they are BIG money.

Agreed. Buy from someone who can and will take care of you. Get someone who knows trucks to help your search too. There are a lot of quirks to truck engines. We found out the hard way. Didn't know that at 500,000 miles you need to replace the pistons in a Detroit 60 series. Had one come apart! It was ugly and expensive!

ok thanks. im learning... lol I have couple of friends that are in trucking, I will talk to them. not looking to buy it now. maybe next year.

Moving in 4 days post, 2 more days at work and one packing. Didnt know there were a bunch of farmers on here. I have alot of background in that.
