The install you want and the turbo kit you need

Dale Cutler has always been super helpful. Sometimes it may take a few days to get a response to an email but he is a very busy person, this time of year especially, and I understand this. If I was ever to need some advice quickly I can always call his shop.

Deten8, to make the CPC turbo system sound technologically inferior is not accurate on your part and the fact that you are back pedaling now is amusing. Don't let the simplicity of this kit fool you. Isn't boondocker running a frequency converter in order to turn the stock AC fuel pump into a higher volume pump now. An idea taken from the CPC kit except for the fact that CPC includes a custom DC high volume fuel pump replacement instead of running an extra auxiliary fuel pump like boony kits in the past.

You mention changing boost pressure on the fly, why are you changing boost pressure on the fly. I set it and forget it, 9 psi, done. And yes I can look down and see my gauges when I am moving.

You are clearly uneducated toward the differences between the two kits. I am assuming you decided one day that you wanted a turbo kit and never did any sort of research into how these kits actually work and how every kit mfg goes about accomplishing their end result and then making your decision on which kit to go with. Did you know that there are other electronic boost controllers out there other than the EBC?

Deten8, I find your post most offensive in the fact that I installed and tuned my CPC stage 2 kit myself. When you learn how to understand how these kits go together and how the different parts affect one another then I will consider your gum flapping. I took the extra time and did it right, my turbo install is as clean as a whistle and runs great.

To mistake simplicity for inferiority is a mistake on your part. Don't be mistaken, CPC is most definitely an innovator in this industry. Boondocker is also a driving force when it comes to their technology this year. To say that a CPC kit is crap, give your head a shake please and do some research.

Deten8, you still haven't answered my question from before which makes me believe you can't tune your own sled on your own.

Merry Christmas and stop the BS please:)

Don't tell anybody this but, set up correctly, THEY ALL WORK!!!

ok post is edited. Hope there are no more hurt feelings. Every post on here is about someones good or bad experience with a turbo. This is mine. Anyway, sled runs great, and code red does an exceptional install. And to some one who asked this is what I would recommend. Nothing personal, they are all opinions

Was just told about this post by a good Friend of mine.

Denton I am unsure what your full name is I know I have talked to you on the phone a few times but I think the credit goes to a good friend and riding partner of mine Krafty Mike here on the forums I ride with him as much as I can and all his BD sleds have ran great ride after ride after ride as well as his 2010 BD M8 this year.

As far as Dale OVS or any other company no need to throw anyone under the bus I don't think it was your intention at all or to brag sometimes things come across the wrong way on the forums there is great product all around us I don't say much either way on the forums it always gets twisted and most including kit builders don't know much about anothers product when it comes down to it.

Think of it this way ever notice how many guys you see on the snow with great running turbo sleds that ride year after year never open the hood much but yet we never hear about there sleds on the forums not saying the forums are bad as everyone loves to read about a ride or a good review. I am just saying there are hundreds and hundreds of turbo kits out on the snow that are amazing but they will never touch a keyboard or talk much other than to there friends and such so many get tied to the keyboard and forget about what we are all in this for and that is to have fun and ride so one always has to take what we read on here with a grain of salt as I get very tired of the behind the sences guys on here that are putting up a smokescreen because they get free product or such.

As far as helping others out I try my best over the years I get more calls every year with every brand of kit under the sun to all kinds of questions even from non customers so I try my best to keep up but sometimes it gets a little crazy so if anyone has problems getting ahold of me my Email line sometimes can be the best way to reach me or drop a line that you need a call back.

OK, Deten8, just to be fair, I took your view of the stock exhaust exit and turned it into an experiment. I was riding yesterday in very very very deep snow and was purposly trying to bury and plow the exhaust outlet into the snow to see if it would bog or stall as you had pointed out that this was one of the many epic flaws with the CPC turbo system. My findings, it ran great, like great great. No bog or sputter or anything other than normal operation. The tunnel dump is fancy lookin but not necessary I guess. I was literally trying to do this every side hill or turn I could take on the exhaust side of the sled. I was pushing so much snow that even the cold air intake screens were collecting heaps of snow around them, and still the sled kept ripping.

Just thought I would let you know I was trying my hardest to prove you right. Still looks like you're wrong:( Sorry buddy!

I really get the same result, never had an exh. bog. I wonder if that's cause of the dry colo snow? I think the tunnel dump is a superior idea though. For sound if nothing else, I'd take the tunnel dump over stock exh. hole.

I had a bog with the twisted kit-side dump exhaust at really slow speeds or stopped on the right side, so I made it a 3" tunnel dump, My own custom exhaust, the weird thing is I had to add fuel on top and gained a little rpm???? So maybe mine is the best. Still load as hell though
