First off,no buisness likes a level playing field.
They want the ability to compete. If they can compete, they succeed. If they can't, they don't. Obama's current plans impede the ability of small buisness to succeed. They impose restrictive taxes and regulations that make it next to impossible to succeed.

Show me anywhere in the constitution or bill of rights where it is the governments job to do anything other than provide for the security of the country?

The government has TAKEN the rights of the states to govern themselves.
it is the states job to manage itself, it's roads, medical needs and the rest.
The government has taken those rights away in the name of "fairness".
What a load of BS.

Capitalism involves failure, not everyone succeeds everytime.

The congress is *****'n about the huge bonus the the ceo's payed them selves and I don't agree with it on the bailed out companies however look who sets their own wages,retirement,health insurance,staff,travel expenses,etc. CONGRESS DOES. It looks to me like they learned from congress just like Madoff did. My other post was just poking fun but it's too dam true. Goverments do not create wealth,only private enterprize can. The goverments job,local,state and federal is give the right envroiment for privite enterprize to flourish. A good example is North Korea who controls everything and South Korea that has private enterprize. Right now there is no reason to take chances and bust your a$$ in the business world,as we don't know what they are going to do next. So we just set on our hands and lay off personal and see how it's going to play out. Thats realy stimulating the economy!!But I realy don't what else to do. I wish they would get out of the way and let us get to work like we need to.

The post office was originally put together to facilitate communications between military outposts. It was simply expanded and has since then turned into a mess.

The treasury was supposed to give value to the US dollar by being backed up with Gold. Of cource the last time we had the dems in control of everything they moved us off the gold standard so they could spend money we didn't have. Since then both parties have turned that into a national sport.

As for the land, if you look at the language in the forest service and BLM. They don't "own" the land. They simply manage it. That is the excuse they use to shut us out and do what ever they want with the land they are mis-managing.

Oh yea, and a side note.
Does anyone know why most of the world uses US currency as the standard??

Because at one time we were the most stable currency in the world because we were on the gold standard.
With Obama running us into bankrupcy it is only a matter of time before the Euro becomes the worlds standard.
I give it 2 years, maybe 3.

The problem though, is that people started mining gold..... the price of gold fluctuates today as it did in the past, so what is the point of tying it to something that itself fluctuates?

i meant any socialist model in general. the problem with capitalism is it tends to COMMODIFY everything... which is bad imo. so yes it works the best when done within the proper limits... which cannot be achieved without proper morals... jmo though.
