I agree, pretty stupid thread to be bashing any of these guys, they are all great riders.
Somebody posted that for every guy on film, there are 100 or more out there that are just as good or better, I do disagree with that. Alot, not all though, of the guys in these films are the best at what they do, sure, there may be many guys that are just as good as them, but I don't think the ratio is 100:1. I do a lot of riding, (not as much as I would like) and I consider myself a good rider, but I rarely see someone out there that impresses me like Burant, Davidoff, Ironman, etc, so I do believe that they are some of the better riders out there.
I HIGHLY doubt there are many people that do ride like alot of these guys in the movies. A lot of parking lot posers, all show(mouth)and no go. A lot of riders that are better on the keyboard than on their sleds...

you might have to make a new movie called ( look how fast i can go in 150 ft ) to keep these people happy .
we have lts of steep and deep here in the intior of bc eg. ( honeymoon ) , do some pretty big pulls , but we ain't hang'n with them boy's . randy used to ride here ,but hasn't bin here for a couple years .
lot's of guy's think they can do this stuff when they are sitting on the couch with a beer telling non sledders , i can do that , it's just the camera angle that makes it look steep .
but i guess if your dressed like a pro you feel like a pro !

Ya know! In life there is no "So callled BEST, #1, ect....it's all blue sky" there is however, "Your Best".....Dan D & Chris B both fall into the catagory of "Giving there Best, with all of their passion for a sledding" ..... Both these guys have their particulare area of intrest & fine tuning that passion. It is like comparing apples to oranges. One of the best things about those who "That Give thier Best" do not focus on OTHERS or their weaknesses. 'Those that give their best' are focusing on the POSITIVE things that REALLY matter in life! That is why both these guys are so revered & admired by others!
This thread does not compliment either one & what they are truely about, so I don't really understand why it was started? A contest? Whatever...there are many sled contest out there, they DO NOT define WHO WE ARE, they are just for fun, & usually some kind of advertising based motive. In fact, I find this thread to be very petty & negative! It TOTALLY misses the point of what sledding is, good friends, good fun & strong passion! what ever happened to bj murray i was in revy few years back and he was throwing down huge
stuff that 99% would not come close to
stuff that 99% would not come close toi look at that chute every weekend and no a stocker will not pull that climb....you probley never ever have seen this climb from the bottom,you would **** ur pants!!!

There's not a style of riding I have'nt done in the past 30 years. I've boondocked with some of the best and dropped cornices with some of the best, I've even caught some pretty serious air on a few occasions. I certainly don't think I'm the best at any of them, but were not talking about the best rider award, were talking about the most Extreme award and nothing will prune me up like sitting at the bottom of a chute I've never seen climbed before and wondering if I try it will I get to see my wife and kids again. Climbing chutes takes bigger kahunas, and is more extreme to me then any other kind of riding. (just my opinion) So by my standards nobody deserves this award more the Davidoff.

Wouldn't that be something to be able to watch Dan and Dave ride together,in person!That would be some good stuff!I can tell ya one thing, my oldest boy keeps telling me someday that he is gonna climb like Dan does and if he keeps riding like he does, he probably will.Anyways, this thread is kinda pointless,just my .02.
