Please eloborate ! I dont see where your going with that? The way I see it the plan makes no sence at all . If most illegals cared about our laws they would have entered legally to begin with! I dont see why those already here would be dumb enough to turn themsleves in And risk being denied reentry by legal methods. Its the goverment do you trust them ?

What I meant was that as a leader with in the bureacracy, she probably has a greater influence/affect on your daily life than does the President. She (and others in similar government position) are charged with implementing the laws passed by the legislative body and signed into law. How they implement the law, or how effective they are at it, has a greater effect than the passing of the law.

I'm not saying its her idea (turn yourself in), but it was clear during appointment hearing that her credentials to run an organization of that size might be just a hair short. But with the right contacts and family influence, you too can run an organization that comes up with brillant plans like the turn yourself in plan.

I'm sure she is intelligent and articulate, but this is the best we can do?

The SAVE act is a wonderful piece of legislation, that unfortunately will not remove the reason people risk life and limb to come here. Right now there are laws on the books that make it illegal to hire undocumented workers, but there still here. The laws aren't being enforeced, period. .

Correct, to a point.
The way buisnesses have gotten around the law is by simply stating that they had no way of knowing if the person they were hiring was legal or not.
The save act takes that excuse away.
