I think that 99% of the people on here won't have any idea about how great this place was. I'm not complaining about moderators or Admin. I'm not complaining about speed either. In the "old Days" we were a tighter knit group. We shared information freely and when people needed help, we went out and did it. SW seems to be bent on being the biggest at the expense of being the best. I never expected it to be this fractured. I spend about 5% of the time on here that I used to. WE had a handful of categories to view, you got your information, yapped with your buddies, read the latest joke, looked at some funny pictures, checked on your local riding area and back to yapping with your buddies.
Most people on here today won't know who Animal was, or the year that we helped out the poor kid with cancer. They won't know about Marty and his "cancer" hoax. SO there are a few thousand more members on here. WIth the bigger number, you'd expect an incremental increase in "brothers" but it hasn't seemed to happen. I'm still lurking from time to time but it's not my first stop anymore.

it's just a forum..why do people get so damn attached to these stupid things. .come here chat.. don't come here chat who cares.
probably for the same reason that snowmobiles are so brand loyal. I don't know why either..
ya I don't get that either, I have a cat, I have a doo, I used to have a polaris.. whatever.. it's all the same **** they just break in different ways

Animal had some funny posts alright. I'll never forget his thread, who gets tired of digging out those RMK's. Lol Remember the whole Marty Hoax and the Wired 1 gal hooking up with him shortly after, all the old drama. Guess if a guy spends hours a day on here, it might seem different. Far as I'm concerned not much has changed, I just pop in and out from time to time. Still give sled info when I can and do a little browsing, but not here to entertain myself for hours on in and could care less about my join date or post count, why in 07 I just started over when SW changed to new format. I know some do and to each their own.................
