SW Video Tempest heated goggles - New Infinity lens, other updates

I hate the 509 goggles. Hard to remember how manual mode works and the fact you need an app is ****!ng stupid. I sent 509 a long email. I sent them back with no care of a refund i just did not want the junk in my bag. The klim work ok. The tempest are sold out.

I wasn't happy with the app either. More crap to deal with getting ready (pairing), it sometimes wouldn't pair, and sometimes toggling the goggle between Auto and Manual wouldn't do anything. And when they were in auto, the goggles would fog worse than the original Kingpin Ignites I had. The Kingpin Ignites were better than the 2.0 S1 line in my opinion--the Kingpins you could at least hit the heat button when stopped and the fog started to appear, and the fog would dissipate. Or turn them to always on easily. Not having to deal with any of those items with the Tempest has been fantastic.

Received my new Tempest googles in January of this year. have used them for 8 days/rides now through overcast days and a rare sunny warm day. Tomorrow will be the 9th day of testing with 6-8 of new powder! I have charged them 1 time only AFTER my initial full charging upon receiving. So, 2 full charges as of today with 1 bar left showing. As others have stated, misting could be seen starting in a corner after getting snow on the inside when getting my friend unstuck. This mist quickly disappeared after strapping on and going again. Fit is good on my KLIM skid lid size small. (Hey, I am only 136 pounds dripping wet) Have been using the Blue or Rose lens for all rides. Rides have ranged from -32 to 34 degrees F. Fresh powder coming over the hood to hard to get an edge set up concrete.
My take is, these are a good choice, a good google for my mountain riding. They have performed as all their literature states they will. My 509s are good but not this good.
I do not sweat a lot while riding, however, my riding partner is bigger 6'2" 170ish and can sweat while suiting up so his testing may be more valuable to other readers than mine.
I would buy again.
