I ran the A bomb for 4 years and was not overall happy with them- The fitment was not all that great, and fogging was an issues while stopping, and had to fumble with the on/off switch while riding to help conserve battery levels. Would make it
maybe a full day. Gloved hands was hard to pinpoint the on/off
I spoke in depth with Vince ( CEO) of Tempest, a few weeks ago, and decided to try a pair of the Infinity with the photochromic lens.
Rode for 3 day's this week Sunday-Monday-Tuesday where the low's were -12 and a high of 17 yeah the ride in was chilly to the goods.
First thing I noticed when waiting on the other riders to get ready- my old A-Bombs, would fog up and I would have to turn them on LOW ( blue light) and they would start de-fogging. With the Tempest never once even a hint of fogging.
We had a lot of stuck's in the new snow we had and once, I noticed once a bit of mist forming at the very bottom but quickly dissipated, even taking them off/ on and breathing hard after a stuck.
Zero fog.
Kept them on getting people unstuck and no fog. They are pretty forgiving and could not find a dislike with them. So tired them in various situations.
Battery life, yeah I tested it and still had 2 bars of battery life after 3 full days of riding, and left them in the cold trailer over night .
Overall so far pleased with this initial testing of the Tempest to meet MY requirements, Back country riding, tree banging, trail riding in and out, getting maybe 40-50 miles a day So Yeah a full days ride.
The photochromic lens worked well and hope they last, as have had photochromic face shields years ago and the transaction ended up failing and staying clear , but that was 10-15 years ago when they came out.
When I was in conversation with Vince @ Tempest- He did say that he cannot claim to be 100% FOG FREE hard to claim that, but when I rode they sure were in this situation.
@goforbroke
If your still wanting to sell that pair, I would take them off your hands.
