Talk to me about GAUGES for the MPI Supercharger

First accessory I need for the install
http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/koso/shop/motorcycle_acc/water-temperature-sensor-adaptor/

Just have to figure out which size?
14/16/18/22/26mm

Not a clue if they are measuring the Inside or the Outside Diameter of the cooling hose you have to cut into to mount the water temp sensor.

Turns out we need about 25-26mm of diameter to install the temp probe in the hot water line coming off of the thermostat.

So MPI (Mountain Performance Industries) was following this thread and let me know they made a sensor adapter just the same as the one from KOSO. I ordered one from them and this is what arrived.

Part # GGW-0250 retail $29.95 includes clamps

This is the MPI fitting with the KOSO Thermal Probe.

Screwed right in with no problems.
Will go back and add a little when it goes in the final time.

and we have GOOD probe penetration into the water flow.

I installed a Koso setup with afr gauge and everything last year. I later ended up getting a PCV with the auto tune and now I wish I would have gotten the LCD 200 setup for the power commander. Has all that stuff built into it without having to run separate sensors.

Actual readings sure make me feel a lot better than idiot lights though. Where did you end up installing yours. I will be interested to hear where your temps are running.

I had the LCD 200 and just could NOT get it to ever work properly.
Everytime I started the engine, it would loose all of it's settings.

That's interesting. The reason I thought it would be nice would be to keep me from having to run an afr sensor for the gauge and one for the autotune portion of the Power Commander.

Too bad they don't make a splitter for the afr sensor in the exhaust:face-icon-small-ton

I wonder if it was an issue with losing battery power when you would try and start it so it would lose all of the memory.

So I was looking more closely at the power commander unit and it didn't say anywhere that it can display water temp. Is that correct?

I ran into that same problem with my pc5 and autotune. I run aem boost and afr gauges and wanted to share data from a single o2 sensor, supposedly it can be done using the data wire off the aem gauge. I decided not to try it and just use 2 sensors, that way there's less to go wrong.

I am running TWO sensors as well right now. One for the computer and one for the new Kosovo display

Kosovo? I love auto correct except when it doesn't work:)

I'd love to have a different solution to running two sensors because my turbo came with the bung mounted after the turbo and it gives false readings which I was just able to confirm after chasing a ghost last year that wasn't real. I guess I will just have to put another bung in front of the turbo I just hate tearing the exhaust apart on my sled to do it.
