T3 Killer

Have been on skidoo since 2011, have yet to bend or brake any front end part to date, as for eating crow? A bent spindle is far better than a broke one, two skis to get you out instead of one and the other strapped to the tunnel.
Comical how some get so twisted when you don't agree with there spin!

luckily the axys you can ride out on one ski if you need lol

blah blah skidoo is awesome blah blah polaris sucks....i get it.

they all bend or break. some more than others. just because you haven't bent anything doesn't make it a rockstar of all sleds...geesh.

Never said skidoo was awesome or Polaris sucks! Just don't buy the Axys crushing everything else out there.

All the positive changes i keep hearing about the Axys sound like they are describing a Proclimb lol.
Great power, light throttle, great throttle response, easy to tip on its side, good down hill turns, out climbs my buddies sled. Lol

I don't know I guess none of the ski doo guys know how to ride maybe???
I just watched a video of Rassmussen getting one of those fat, pigs up the mountain pretty well. He doesn't seem to have a problem with them?? Maybe he could do a lot better on an Axys??

Im not the most skilled rider out there, but do ok and if you put the same rider on the same sled, I find it hard to believe that the 174 is going to get beat climbing? Come on now, this is just like a ford/chevy forum. Kinda funny actually.

Both good machines, each one of them will do something better than the other? Ive never ridden or owned a Polaris, so Im certainly not bashing them at all. Actually intrigued by them and if the motors hold together, then most likely will own one. All they hype has me interested for sure. Im sure next year will be even better for them. I just am interested in hearing about them when they start hitting 15-1800 miles. Interested in seeing how they hold up to the beating.

I enjoy reading the posts, and certainly sounds like Polaris knocked it out of the park with this new skid!!!

Last season I spent a few full days on my friends demo pro, I could easily switch between my freeride and the pro with out any issues. I liked the Doo in all riding situations other than in the trees the pro was easier to get around. I could make the same lines on my freeride 3/4 or the time. Ski Doo still has a much better build quality and engine.

I hate when the east coast guys say the XM sucks because it won't side hill lol I never had a problem not once. Most people in the east like the Pro because they can side hill hard pack and look cool even when the snow sucks. I made the switch this year is to try something different. Doo has really been the same chassis since 08, I needed a change.

The axys is a very poor sled on the trail. It has the worst trail manners ever. But it wasnt designed for the trail.
I think alot of people will struggle coming to the axys at first, especially novice riders. They will over steer it and over ride it. It reacts very well to rider input, so much so that leaning your head to one side or the other can alter your course on a deep climb through the trees. Those who like to wrestle their sleds and throw them around will quickly get themselves off line and out of control. You need to back off and finesse the axys, because it responds so well.
I dont see it outclimbing a 174 head to head in a straight pull, but a piped axys wouldnt be a step behind it at all. And IMO the axys is alot more fun to ride, especially in trees and creeks!

The title of this thread leads me to believe Polaris has finally caught up with Doo. Haha. Jk. I have one of each and they are both awesome.

YES to all of this. I have some good miles on my Axys and the transfer can be too much at times (coming from a Pro). In fact, wrong foot forward moves are only needed in extreme situations and when done can really whip the sled around fast. You have to learn to balance this sled or it will do something you don't expect. If you are lazy or like to sit a lot, this sled might not be best for you. I almost ride it like a dirt bike, using my thighs/knees a lot.

Interesting cause I went pull for pull with a T3 154 in 2ft of light pow up a mild climb. We were dead even. Guy on the T3 is 30lbs heavier than me. I was only pulling 8100rpm at the time though and his rpm's were dead on. My sled pulls harder at 8300, so after some clutching I'm sure I'll be ahead.

So got out today against the same 154 T3 in bottomless pow/sugar snow. Finally got my clutching right with the MDS weights. With smallest screw in tips it would pull 30-33mph track speed and would out pull the T3 up a fairly steep slope, he had to pull out 3/4 way up and I rode over the top. This is pulling 8150rpm on my axys, 125/340 spring, and black/purple secondary spring. Then I pulled all the weight out of the MDS and ran a 120/310 spring. Didn't get out of the whole with as much track speed as running tip weight, but it pulled a lot better track speed once it got going. Was hitting 34-36mph consistently and getting 8250-8350rpm. So the axys climbed even better then. This was at 11K ft. So to sum it up the Axys definitely out pulled the T3 154. T3 had a can on it, but the rider is 30lbs heavier than me. My axys is prob 15lbs heavier than stock with the mods I have on it and tools I carry, so pretty even. I rode his sled too. Still not a fan of the XM handling wise. Will take my Axys or modded 16 Cat any day over it.

You should get some videos. I totally believe you but most wont without something they can see for themselves, and even then some still wont.

I believe equal track lengths skidoo will not leave the highmark but 174 to 163 i think it would be even or a slight nod to the doo. If the rmk 163 climbs higher than the 174 doo, it sure the hell won't be 300% higher like the original post.

Real simple Explanation of 300%.

If a hill is 400ft and the doo climbs 25% (100ft)and the pro climbs 100%(400ft), that is not 75% higher, that is 3times or 300% higher.
75% more than 25% (100ft)of a 400 ft hill is 75ft so 75+100=175. That is not even half way up the hill.
