T3 174 bent tunnel from dealer.

They just told me "they do it for the customer" and that brp doesn't do it anymore? Everything I read says it runs it lean.

Personally, I wouldn't lose much sleep on the oil thing because,

1) it'll be fine.

2) the EMS is supposed to take it easier on the motor during the break-in anyways.

3) if it blows up due to the extra oil, the dealer can deal with BRP for warranty and explain their procedures.

oil was/is added on carb'd sleds to put some extra oil in the crankcase for the first tank or two. on an etec, the gas don't go thru the crankcase. putting oil in the gas just wastes the oil and screws with the fuel mapping. if you keep the sled, siphon. if you give it back, leave it in there.

The oil injection adds extra oil during the break in program on Etecs....it uses a electric oil pump, not mechanical like the older sleds.
There is also a issue with the 15's fouling plugs during cold start. Adding more oil might make it even more prone to fouling. Doo is working on a update to address the cold start plug fouling on 15's. Avoid starting the sled without allowing it to warm up if possible.

I also found this? Anyone have an idea what it's from?

Maybe part of the teeter totter suspension? lol

Customer-"my tunnel is bent and I have only unloaded it at my house. I believe the tunnel was bent during predelivery when someone pushed down on the tunnel to release the suspension from the factory shipping crate."
dealer-"How's about we give you a free bumper and call it a day."
Customer-"OK"

I bought one last fall like this for a nice discount...put a wrap on mine and no one has ever noticed. Hasn't bent anymore and I have put it through some abuse.

Not sure if you have made a new deal with your dealer but if you have not, you should at least get the sled for dealer cost and cost on any parts you buy for that sled for a year. You will be happy and your dealer wont be out any money.
Thats a win win.
And remember, you paid tax on the the $15,000 you should get the difference for the lower price back from the state from the dealer.
If your dealer wont do that deal ask for a new sled, They will quickly realize you are right for asking for cost on parts and the sled. as they will be stuck with paper work and your bent sled if they dont hook you up. Anything less they are making money on a messed up $15,000 sled and thats not right for them to profit from there mistake.

Now what about when you try to sell it down the road, your going to take a huge hit...I'd demand a new new tunnel or full refund..

I'm sure the rear bumper is not installed on the sled in the crate, if the bumper is not installed before releasing the suspension that can happen.
