Sway bar removal on a Pro....Ya or Nay?

I've heard of guys doing this on the revs and having it work out really well, but before i start hacking away I want to make sure it's worth while. Any info would be great.

On a Pro you don't have to hack - just unbolt the plastic link on each side between the sway arm and the lower A arm and go ride it. If you like it better leave the links out and save all the pieces in case the person you eventually sell it to wants it. Or at that point you could go ahead and remove the entire sway arm if you really wanted to. But it is certainly not in the way I you just leave it.

I say nay on a pro. The stock shocks are springs are spec'd to have it in...they will be way soft without it.

If you are having difficulty sidehilling or it feels too planted try instead:
- Set rear track spring to the owner's manual spec for your weight
- Set front track spring to have roughly 3/4" to 1" of threads showing
- Set front ski shocks to whatever you like....try something on the soft/medium side first
- Set ski stance to narrowest setting by moving the spacers around

I would rather that stuff than taking the SB out with the stock shocks. One man's opinion.

The main issue with disconnecting is that you NEED to make up for the lost connection by stiffening the shocks.

If you're riding coils & can do that... get rid of that POS!!! If you're not, you'll be disappointed.

There are a lot of opinions in the Pro section if your search. As recommended by Jeremy (jkinzer) at Supreme Powersports I removed the sway bar and installed Z-broz dual rate springs. I have two rides on them and so far am happy with the setup. If you are looking for it to sidehill better check your front track shock. I tightened up mine so 1" of threads were showing and it was crazy how much it changed the sled's attitude. I felt like 3/4" of threads is a better fit for me, but the FTS adjustment is maybe more important than messing with the swaybar.

thanks for the info guys!! I tried it without the sway bar and it was terrible!! gonna try out the fts and see what happens. Thanks again!!

Sway bar removed with stock springs?

I've been looking at sled setups of pro level Pro riders and noticed their setups seem to be aftermarket shocks (usually Exit or Fox), aftermarket A-Arms (36"), and no sway bars.

I'm currently running ZBros springs on WE shocks and just removed my sway bar after 650 miles or so this season. I've got two rides on it so far, going out again tomorrow. It's different, that's for sure. Is it better? Is it worse? I'm not sure, still deciding.
