Supertorquer 'Central Roller Mass' Swing Arms

Which Rev

WHat sled did you install them on and what elevation do you ride. Which set up? I am going to install today.

Have a set installed in my sled, havent had alot of riding time on them yet but am very happy with the outcome. Completly changed the way the clutches perform sled doesnt seem so high strung keeps the motor in the grunt of the power and pulls hard. Immeadiatly noticed the difference cant wait to play with them more thisweekend.
BB did you take a poke at any hills yet?
What are you riding?
thks for your input

Sorry, guess I should have put that in there. Shes an 08 summit 800 146, and as far as the set up im running the 2 dot ramps right now with both set screws in the center pin. I ride at 3-6000 feet in Alaska, havent been to the hills yet due to lack of sunlight. But at sea level im running the clickers in the number 1 position and running it right at 7900 to 7950 so its about right. With stock set up with clickers on number 1 ran it ran 8000 to 8100 also at sea level. So im thinking the setup is really close gonna do some testing in some local areas tommorow so will keep posted have 2 other sets of ramps to try 2....

Should be heading up today for a brief afternoon testing session at about 8000 feet. Looking forward to trying these arms out finally on some snow!

It will be intersting to here your results. This past weekend had a set installed and found that 53.5 grams is to heavy for our elevations 6 to 10K. They pull hard however due to to much weight could not pull the rpm needed.

OT

Ok well my brief run is complete. The snow conditions today were very very good quality fine dry powder, with zero base snow. Otherwise known as bottomless snow? Which for here is very unusual. In areas where I thought I was safe I was not. It was 20 inches of this type of snow and so I really cannot give a good solid report. But to this end I can say when you really hammer it (my 07 XRS) for the first time it holds at 8100 and does not back off. I did notice that when climbing up a very mild hill I would be on the throttle, let off and then back on the throttle and it was amazing how quick it responded. Hope to do some further riding this weekend and maybe be a little more in tune with it.

Quoting "OT" above

Not sure about that on my run. It really really pulled hard and I was able to get the RPM's up very nicely. Again will know more after this weekend! My thoughts so far is this maybe the perfect boondockers clutching set-up with the really active back shifting and quick response. Just a thought.

Theres no dought they pull hard, we've have 3 o 5 feet of snow and when climbing and in deep snow the load from the deep snow drags down the rpm.. When going down packed trails with little to no load the rpm are AOK . Going to pull some weight out and things should be AOK.

Anybody have any reports on how these work yet ?

They flat out made my 07 XRS clutch finally work. Quick throttle response and amazing backshifting. I have made zero changes to the set up I got with the arms and the set up seems pretty solid. I am running at 6-10,000 and running on clicker 3.

Thanks, did it stop the rpm from wandering all over the place in the deep and climbing ?

Geez, what a gas trying to read all of this. :O

I took a chance, put a set in my 09 with 0 miles. Followed well written instructions per Mr.HeelClicker himself. Got wrong ramps BTW 08 and 09s will be different? Depends on what belt you are running. New one is a bit wider and does make a difference. 2nd dayed the new ones right away and installed. All is a bit tight great craftmanship. All parts were there, arms weights and spring and shims and pins, use your rollers.

First ride I had to click up to 5, came home and removed 3-5 grams or so (no scale). Set click to 3, headed back up to bumper deep, fairly heavy snow but still overrap. Moved to click 2, RPMs at 8-8.2 and may float those 200 r's at times but runs very consistently on most pulls in the deep. Stayed at 2 for last 100 miles.

Belt is running all but last 1/2" on primary, never seen it before! Response feels great, still running stock sec spring and helix, would be fun to see if I could get anymore out of her but am damm happy. Have three rides in bumper plus deep with 150+ miles, belt looks like good, no vents yet.

Cost, ha ain't no different than stock parts. Wish I had waited to replace the parts in 06 I would buy again.

My 2 cents.......... woof

still LOL at OT

OT- EVERY clutch set up you watched someone else doo for YOU has NOTHING to do with these new arms..

the adj arm has been around...but the roller was always on the end...the original clickers = no worki...and any arm that has any goofy thing hanging off it is just an adj arm...roller still at tip..same/same...some better some just a joke...

these new arms are the FIRST thing that truelly changes the shift force...with weight on the end and the roller near the center changes EVERYTHING...I'm not saying its the "answer"...but you have no clue on what it is or does...

just back away from the confuser and go pound some nails...BJ

Belt temps? (did you do the "touch test") Track speeds? I realize this is subjective based on snow conditions....but.....)

Truer words have never been spoken as far as OT goes. After reading his vomit about the fernie avey he is dead to me. He has always been an idiot and proves it day after day. sj

But what?

Sure it is fricken hot Dave, no vents and running WOT for almost entire day track speeds when I could see the dash is 40+ish, but who knows, like I said I never saw much of the dash till I stopped or trail ride out...... life is good.

Big John,
What are your thoughts on these new arms ? Are they worth spending the money on ? Will they give more consistant rpm ? Any info would be aprreciated

Thanks

I have never been sucked in by OT's ability to push people's buttons so I looked up some of his Fernie posts and as you say he is an idiot. Guys like like him are always spouting off and sooner or later his time will come. The tragic part will be that no one will feel sorry for him or his family. I think we should all send our condolences to his wife and family for having to spend another day living with someone as embarrassing this jerk

Yes the RPM's have become more predictable. Just rode 60 miles today and in the soft the RPM seems to be right at or near 8000 and on the hard pack it rolls right to 8200 and man does it pull hard now. Just for a comparison, I rode my friends 07 800 151 with all of the updates to his clutch done and no changes otherwise. I am amazed how much smoother the CRA arms have made my clutching versus stock. The one point I have not made yet was a side by side run 20mph to 70mph I had the stock clutching by 6 sled lengths. Also the engagement of the clutching has become so much smoother.

Also I did have to install the updated millimeter trimmed ramps on my 07. The first set of arms created way to much grab (almost drove it through my trailer). So far this is the best money I have spent on a sled in a long time.
