Sun Peaks

sunpeaks

Sunpeaks is fun if you know where to go,but if you really want some serious powder then Valemount is the best choice, its about a 2.5 hour drive from Kamloops. Another great place is crowfoot, its about an hour from town, and then there is the coq.its about an hour from town as well.

Sunpeaks has some great sledding,BUT you have to know where to go.Everything from trails to meadows to alpine and climbs, its a fair size and diverse area

Blue RIver from what i hear gets the same snow as Revy (more than Valemount) and is probably less than a 2 hour drive from sun peaks (guessing on the drive time)
Usually 'Blue Jewel' is on the forum aswering questions, but im not sure where they are this year as i have some of my own for them.

BLUE JEWEL WHERE ARE YOU ???

Last year they had the rcmp up there on the north side of Todd mtn , never talked to them, they saw us and pointed at the boundies sign ( even though we were never on the boundies side) and he pionted for us to go back the way we came, and because we usually pack a few riding goodies, and didn't want any extra attention,so we went back.

the peaks is not bad riding but nothing extreme , desent trails an a little boondockin . But good fun if your up for newyears, well wirth bringin your sled.
