Suggestions - Best way to support Local S&R

Fact: Kev and I went sledden yesterday.
Fact: Kev tried to follow me on what I thought was pretty easy terrain
Fact: Kev broke his hand and got a concusion on said easy terrain;)
Fact: It most likely took Kev 15 minutes to type the above 12 words with his left hand
Fact: Speaking of left hands he is probly getting some "strainge" right now watching biggest looser!!
Fact: I did offer to call the chopper to chopper him and he did decline.JOKE...But I honest did offer the chopper:D

Does he need riding lessons? Nah not in my book:) He is a lil biotch though
My ribs a bit broke too so quit with the funnies! Dunner you and ur twisted are going down..Oh wait ur a no show, did u get me a app?

I'm glad your not our local S&R cc powder.

Its all good, not all of us are equipped to run around saving people we dont know. Just be thankful there are some of these kind of people in the world!!

Makes me laugh at some of the **** people post. I think most people have alot more courage and ability in front of the keyboard than they would ever have in real life.

Not me. Corey has mad skills and the type of riding he does, most would think they're risking their life. I understand what CCpowder is saying, he's just keeping it real. Taking high risks and working your azz off is one thing. But really risking life is a choice that I wouldn't take either.

BTW: Great first post:face-icon-small-dis

LOL What people cant see is that I am stuck at the top of a 2000' climb, so steep i could piss and not hit the hill, with nothing but trees and rocks at the bottom. I risked my own life with such an amazing climb!! :D

Sorry cc I took it wrong, Ex. summit co. S&R Member.

For the record.....I'd put ccpowder's riding skills and ability up against anyone I know! I've been in a situation where he did every damned thing he could to get S&R, and their equipment, to us. I don't think he's saying he wouldn't help someone out, just not into doing it for a living, or on an on-call and permanent volunteer basis.

Kudo's to those who do! However, if I'm stuck and badly wounded in some nasty mountain hell hole, I want Corey to be in the group coming to get me home!

Boy CC your buddies are sure working over covering your a$$, its kinda big and needs alot of covering!

S&r involvement...

As a Deputy for the Piute County Sheriffs department and also over our S&R we as a group have talked about donations and chargeing for searches. Everybody in our volenteer program love to help out as much as they can and would rather see fellow riders both snowmobile and atv attend the meetings such as wilderness meetings and fight to keep our rideing areas open.

Also you do pay for your S&R services every time you licence a sled or offroad vehicle. Money is avalable for gas, equipment, food during searches and trainings. My guys seem to all appreciate a thank you letter to let them know they are appreciated.
