Stock Weights?

i thought that whatever elevation the dealer is at is what the sled came equipped with weights for.

These weights are just off the top of my head and by now means are correct.

But I believe a Nytro full of gas and ready to ride is about 610 pounds.

An Apex full of gas and ready to ride is probably about 680 pounds or so.

Don't know about the RX-1.

If you are considering a yamaha, weight isn't a selling point. Being able to ride it year in and year out without any engine problems is why you buy a 4 stroke.

The yami owners have pretty much came to grips with the fact that we are riding the fat chick of sleds. There isn't anything wrong with that though, because we can shed some pounds, add a little boost and be the sexiest thing on the hill!

The three sleds you've asked about though, tkuss is pretty close, and I believe the RX1 is heavier than the apex, and is also carb'd instead of fuel injection.

"The yami owners have pretty much came to grips with the fact that we are riding the fat chick of sleds"

Hey I just got a fat chick, her name is Nytro and my wife thinks Nytro is ugly.
But I think she will be alot of FUN to ride! and I wont have to share her with my wife LOL

So..true. Fat chicks must perform all the time to keep ya coming back.

Yami is more reliable and you get more miles out of them than most will get outa their wife. Three wives later, and I'm still on my Boosted Yami...

Never done a fat chick, but if she was as fun as my sled I would....

2009 Stock Apex MTX came with 71 gram weights. Weight ID is 8FS00. Two steel 13.3 mm w/hole outer and middle hole. Nothing in the inner hole. Yamaha is over optimistic about their clutching. Stock Apex with 71 gram weights is listed for operation between 8000-10000 ft. 71 gram weights work good for 6000 to 8000ft, Sicamous , Revelstoke. Do not increase the weight for 6000-8000ft operation. The Yamaha manual says to increase the weight to 74 grams( 13.3mm w/hole rivit in all three holes). Sled is a dog and will not pull enough rpm.

Is the 530 figure for the 2010 nytro? I saw yammi is claiming a 21 pound weight loss this year if so that brings it within, what? 50 pounds of the polaris? Thats awesome, I miss my yamaha's, but I just couldn't deal with the weight penalty of my apex. If the nytro is getting that close I might get to come back to the yammi camp soon!
