Stock Horsepower #

--I think the Pro is a great sled as I am getting one for my son to start on.

--I will, however, be upgrading, replacing, and adjusting certain factory fresh engine components
And you'll post back, letting everyone see specifics regarding what needed fixed and why? I'm sure many owners would like to know what problems were found and how they were fixed....

I'm getting a PC or an XM for my wife, great sleds for sit down riders and awesome on trails.
I also will make some changes, highere windshield, fix the clutching, mirrors, saddlebags and maybe handlebar muffs. She's looking forward to it, I think it'll be perfect for her.

--Since you will be most likely riding the same terrain as your wife, you may as well get electric start, rear view mirrors, heated visor, and radar detector as well. :face-icon-small-hap

Pro power.

3 years and counting, people crying about how there has less power
I'm on my third one not cuz they broke but cuz I like em. Mine run good they all climb amazingly and are nimble light and reliable. If you don't agree don't buy one. Simple stuff.

--The issues are built into the sled as it leaves the factory floor, before it has even been started

--I do not intend to have factory design / manufacturing engine failure issues, so I am being proactive

--It is a short, basic, yet critical list and discussed in other threads:

-pistons / rings --sloppy, loose tolerances--flaking rings --I will use RKT drop in kit

-turn up oil pump -- 32:1 or more oil ratio -- stock in generally very much less oil

-splash of oil in the gas tank -- a little directly injected oil onto the internal parts, instead of straight gas

--I will also change out the head and use an RKT setup --personnal preference

I'm starting to whine..........

--Big bore time--

--When you install the cylinders onto the case, push the cylinders to the back before you torque them down to reduce tolerance stacking.

Sorry to say but the numbers between the 11,12,13 are very similar sad but true. We have a good port setup that will give you 20++HP no problems makes the pro run very very well.

20++++HP with a port job?? (oh, sorry i over stated. you only had two pluses) yeah, sure. and i have a bridge to sell... so do you have the actual numbers from the same day and dyno for the three sleds or are you just trying to sell a port job? i wasn't asking for an apology or hoping from some great gain in the numbers, i actually don't care what the actual number is. i was simply curious to see what, IF any difference there was between the two b/c the 12s will pull more weight than the 11s and although i don't have first had experience yet, i've "heard" the 13s will pull a little more than the 12s. it really was a simple question and nothing more than curiosity. but never mind, i'll let everyone get back to their pissing match...

just dynoed(on monday) the new PC 800 2013 and a 2012 pro R (last year test sled) and at the same ambient temp.(19 celsius) the PC 800 made 147 hp and the ProR made 132 hp, so a solid 15 hp less and on multiple runs also. test done on a land n sea eddie current engine dyno.

what was the 13's hp before you put yur majic box on? lol

--When cylinder skirts break, it's performance is a big fat zero.

--The Pro motor appears to not even be making factory rated HP, let alone engine reliability that other brand engines achieve.

--In the deep powder West, a lot of riders run their engines at max rated HP and RPM for somewhat extended periods due to terrain and deep snow. HP and reliability really count.

--In the flats of the Midwest, WOT is rarely held open for very long

- As said before what HP rating are you finding? because that hasnt happened since 09 because people like you crying over dyno numbers not how they perform
-ahhh yep thats what we do out west run them wide open or on off throttle when in the deep powder of the mountains! Who's talking about flats or midwest or whatever your trying to imply???
-cyinder skirts breaking? some people have had problems but I havent. I will take Carls cycle's word for it as they sell probably more pro's than any dealer and have had very few failures as a %. I buy my mountain sleds from them and do whatever they say and have had no problems even with my other cfi 4 800 RMk. :jaw:
The internet hypes every little failure to the biggest thing ever. hence look at the thread on the belt failure for 1 sled in marginal snow, ow my gosh there just junk. LOL

I dont know bud do you drive a ski doo and your mad cause they throw the cranks out all the time, or do you drive a cat and your mad cause the thing blows belts every ride?
I dont know if either of those situations I just spoke of are that bad but if you read the hype on the internet, you better have a spare motor with you on a doo and with a cat you better bring a half a dozen belts on every ride. LOL.

I do know on snow the HP doesnt show stock vs stock machine the poo gets up and works great on snow.
My new Stage 4 Carls will work great I'm sure with next to no problems.
