steep n deep track speed

I don't understand what everyone gets excited about... His sled is obviously not set up that great but that doesn't mean the xp was either... With anything, some people can make them run and some can't... That doesn't mean it didn't happen... I'm not clouded by brand loyalty so I know the xp's climb about as good as anything. Still can't give me one... Hope I got enough periods in here for everyone... I thought this was a sled forum not a spelling bee.

I've been around alot of these new E-Tecs and when it comes right down to it it all depends on who is riding it and how they set it up. Specifically, the clutching. From the people I have talked to however and the ones I've seen in person, the E-Tecs are running really well and the riders like them. I prefer my Pro due to the handling characteristics and proven P-85 and Team clutching.

Track Speed

I rode a stock 163 800 with 700 miles on it at cooke in deep wet snow and it was holding 8050 with 35 mph track speeds on average sloped hills. For being all stock it went really well for being at 10,000 feet.

All I can say is I just rode with two cats a 10 and a 11 and I got my a$$ handed to me. It isn't even funny, but I still love the sled. I had a 85 phazer and didn't win a race or hillclimb but I had the most fun!

Funny you would say that, when 90% of your past posts are from the Arctic Cat forums..you wouldn't be in the polaris forum sandbagging, would you?

My guess a pro worked you this past weekend and posting in our forum makes you feel a little better about it? :D :D

Thats funny sure looks like a poo in the trailer! I have had them all not at all brand crazy, if one has a better sled that is the way it is, no need to lie about it. Its true I had a 10 cat but went to a pro cuz it looked kick a$$ and it is, but it doesn't have the power the cat did or does. Am I going back to cat, no! I really like to poo but it is short of power, just telling the truth!

Interesting. I pm'd a repected member here who has all three makes of 2011 800s because he builds engine parts for them. He also can ride. He says the carbed doo still out performs the other two.

Who would have ever thought that some people would say 1 brand out performs the others, and others would say the exact opposite :face-icon-small-con

This has never happened before on SW.....

Doos work for me and I'm happy with that

My bud with a new 163 E-Tech was outclimbed by a similar length Pro

Not once or twice but every time, they even switched sleds and the results were the same - not even close

flats, mountians - all terrain

the new polaris is the real deal and though the track is narrow it still works very well and handles great

my stock 163 800R sled would see about 38-40mph in the steep n deep

At 10 psi my boosted 1200 sees 60mph in a 3-4' depth climb

to get high 50s low 60s under serious load it takes lots of HP and quite efficient clutching as well
