Standard RMK owners

I have an 11 pro 155 (not an Assault). After this season it will be replaced by a std RMK 800. I am running the EVOL R's/zero pro all around, will move them to the std, don't care for the Pro Tapers, and want the extra cooling. The cooling diff is real, I've run them side by side. A better rear bumper is cream. Don't care about the rotor or jackshaft, tho the rotor can be had for +100US. FWIW, while you've got north of 1500 in shocks, you can get half back on resale after a couple of years if you care for them, or move them to another sled. And they work okay while you have them ;). But I also didn't care for the WE's limited range of adjustability on the Pro (not the Assault needles - very dif shock). Some peeps have no issues with the WE's on the pro, and love the tapers. Just my personal situation.

fully agree
also not too stoked on the OEM pro tapers
and for those of us that ride out West and in the flats, the extra cooler is huge
ill beat the snot out of the stock shocks and replace them w FOX's
I can have them for dead cost for less than the upgrape to a Pro would be

also prefer some of the RSI and Pro Taper bars as well
I tempted to put them on now, but wifey will sh*t if I put new bars on, on top of everything else I have done

I have always got my money back on mods, as I keep the engine stock
becasue I get such good discounts on parts, I can justify it and get a good return on it

again.....SO FAR...no regrets on the standrd RMK choice over the pro

Wouldn't trade my std RMK for a PRO any day. The extra cooling is great and the stock shocks are really not that bad. Once they are toast I'll throw on some floats. Hated the Protaper bars, and the hooks are useless.

I got such a good deal on my slightly used 2011 RMK that I had to go for it. Now I'm glad I got the standard over the Pro, more cooling, bogie wheels, better rear bumper and my handle bar accessories fit. I do agree with the guy that said the shocks look like they came from Harbour Freight though.
