My buddy has an 98 srx mountain and he put ataac on it. When he nails the throttle it bogs down and takes awhile for it to come out of it. But when it does it runs great. What should he look for.

Did it do it before he put that on? Cause it just sounds like his carbs are dirty to me
He just got the sled, and put it on. He had the carbs totally apart and cleaned. I was wondering maybe if it wasn't some clutching issue. Since it doesnt do it everytime.
clean the clutches and read the plugs/wash

because its a pain in the a$$ to pull the carbs off every other week. i use a variflow and it always worked perfect. not sure if a guy could even find them anywhere now days.
Sounds like the prilot jets need to be bigger. Just before pinning the throttle give the choke lever a pull. If this help the bog go up one or 2 sizes on the pilot jets. When the attack is installed you need to jet for your lowest elevation and temp. Then install the blue hose..............SRXtreme
Linc, We ride from 2 to 11,000 feet and ataac on all our sleds, and they are flawless thats why we install them. 5 mountain maxs and 2 vipers. Now the srx. Anyhow thanks for your advice on my s/c phazer it ran great. Just need it to quit blowing the sc belt.

ATACC and Vari-flow both work great if installed correctly. If you have problems with them you should look in the mirror for the reason.
Hey shortstop. The ataac is installed as directed, but I was just told recently that it will only compensate 4 to 6000 ft with pipes and the srx come factory with them. So we probably just need to re-jet from sea-level.

As far as it only compensating 4-6K because of the pipes, I don't buy that. just my .02
