yes life does go on. And i won't lose any sleep over which web site to log on to. Life is just way to short.

What i am interested in is this though: The spokane thread was one of the longest running threads in snowest history. So snowest is the business, the people on the thread are the customers. It was amazing how fast this business lost it customers. What occured for this business to lose customers so fast. And how do i not do the same thing.

TIM--I think that the big deal is that with all the new junk, stuff, or whatever you want to call it was implimented that noone asked for or is of any use to the main population (or old timers or the one that actually make a significant contribution) it supposedly slowed the servers down and now it is claimed that they need new stuff and we (thru PPV) have to pay for it. That is just my $.02 on the situation.

Listen to your customers. Never ever get the attitude that you know more about what your customers want than they do.

I doubt you have anything to worry about.

Well, I know it's dead over here but we had a great day of boondock'in in Troy. The New polaris is running great and is allmost broke in and ready for the build to begin! Can't wait for the chassis to be built and the turbo to be put on. Then it will be the Dream Sled! John Orr

I have never ridden at Troy. What kind of riding is there to do? I am always looking for new areas to ride. Thanks!

Tim when are you going to have your sled back and ready to ride?

Spiced how about you?

Thinking about heading out on Sunday put a few road miles on, maybe Bloom, Lookout somewhere in that area.

There is some big country over there...Alot of it is technical tree riding with off camber fall lines, fun stuff and that is just getting to the big lines.

Best way I can describe it, is it scared the sh*t outta me and I hated it for a couple years. But now come to love it. Put it this way, the transfer chute just to get to the good stuff usually leaves half the group behind. Truly beautiful country with no end to steep technical tree riding and big stuff!

Sounds like 3/4 of the rides we go on in N. Idaho. They start out innocent enough, but before long its tree to tree, off camber, butt puckering boondocking. It will either make or break a guy, and REALLY shows you how to ride your sled.

As far as the Chris thing...this is what I know. He approached HP about the site and wanted to help fix it up. After some talks, they brought him on to implement changes and somewhere along the line, decided it should go to a pay site in an attempt to make it self sustaining. The site has been losing money for HP for 11 years, and most vendors steer clear because they dont want to get flamed when they post. My understanding is that by going to a pay site and getting SW its own hardware it can solve both issues. The people that cause problems will most likely leave, and HP is no longer losing money by running the site...and can offer the vendors a place to come post without worrying about getting ate up by the angry customers. I also think that HP is going to put up an ad in the SW mag for the forums to generate more traffic, and there has been talk of letting forum members submit tech articles for the mag.

Tom...that sucks that you got that impression from Chris, you are one of the most respected guys on here.:beer; We will have all the answers soon...either the changes will rock and the site will bounce back, or it'll flop. time will tell.

Like I said...I'm sticking it out to see what happens and I've got my fingers crossed for the best.

devil thank you

flit also thank you, you made it easy for even me to understand. I can be a little thick headed.

Dtrip
there is a chance my sled will be ready real soon. Boondockers is supposed to release the eletronic boost controller and i might be able to get my sled this weekend or next week.

Hunting season is finally done and that is a good thing. It sure did run my life there for a while. I ended up getting a 4x4 whitetail at the last minute of the last day. It is a respectable buck. nothing large. All in all, a very long succesful hunting season. I will probably get in trouble for this, but , whackem and stackem.

Maybe it was spicey.......your gonna love it.

WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE!!!!!!

wfo.,...no that was more me. lol....granted i had never riden a pumper..also i think they have came a long ways since they first started poping up...most of the time the guys who had them were always wrenching on them, and that was a reason for me not to want one...now i'm just older and fatter and anything can help...i still don't have one, and don't forsee one in my future anytime soon

yep, my family would have a hard time me dropping 5k on a turbo when i don't have internet at home...lol

Keeping the lights on and food on the table is always top priority.

In all honesty, my priorities have changed a lot since having a child. Never thought I would say that but I seem to look at some things different now. It hurts to say it but it's not all about me anymore, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

wfo...congrats!! it's amazing what those little munchkins can do..i got a tear in my eyes yesterday as i watched my daughter run into the school yard and drop her backpack off on the wall and play with her friends..she is only in kindergarten...they are just to damn cute!
