I wish you guys would at least stick around to see what SW is going to be like instead of jumping like its a sinking ship. Chris is following the orders of Harris Publishing, and doing what they want with the site...I really think that after its setup its going to be pretty cool. If not, you'll see me elsewhere...but until then I'm going to be here to help SW get better however I can.

still here moto, however i fear the spokie thread will no longer be what it was....unless all this stuff is super kick ace.

I don't think that the spokaloo circus thread will ever be the same. But I'm still here administering CPR from time to time. I'll hang here for awile. More tech stuff over here.
And of course you X.

Chris is following the orders of Harris Publishing,

I have discussed this lightly with a major Harris "employee" and that statement is only partially true. He introduced many of the changes on his own after recommending them and getting approval for them to the staff. Some of the changes they are not even entirely clear on how they affected the site.

I still check over here but the new new thread on BCR has a tonnn of traffic, plus a bunch of new people that either just lurked here on SW or didn't have an account at all. So far the move has been a positive thing.

More to read about over here though....

looking at the weahter right now, and it says it is -39F in Yellowstone Nat. Park. that seems a lil bit on the cool side to me.

Thanks BB, I was just throwing out my interpretation based on what Chris has said and from what I've seen. It makes complete sense that it is a combination of both parties involved.

If you look at the 'other' religious site Christopher owns and the direction Snowest is heading. The two paths are eerily similar. So it's my .02c that Christopher is behind these changes almost entirely, not HP. That's not to say HP wasn't convinced, but I would say most ideas originated outside of the HP management offices.

I am sorry but i don't buy any of the religious bs. I haven't seen any put on snowest.

Please give me some specific example of the mormon religion being put on here.

That directed at me? If so, either you read my comments wrong or I need to clarify. I'm not saying Christopher is or will spread any religious views on Snowest. Didn't mean that at all. What I am refering to is the overall paid structure Snowest is moving toward. It mirrors his other site quite a bit. Notice the number of users on that site? Snowest will be very similar soon. Take the current userbase and divide by 10 (or more).

I was also VERY taken back when I had a face to face with Christopher. As a paying advertiser I would think he would be interested in hearing my comments, but I was quickly cast a side and it was very clear advertisers weren't even on the priority list. When you spend about as much as a new sled per year, just being heard would be nice. Guess that's too much to ask.

I have heard the religion one a couple of times and i haven't seen it. But i have never talked to the guy or looked at his other sites. I never have had a reason to.

as far as the pay part. I have yet to be invoiced so i haven't worried about it. Bummer he didn't wan't to hear what you had to say. I would think that he would want to hear what an advertiser wanted to say. But you know comp people. the world is all black and white.

I have just been watching this thread die a very quick death and i am just trying to figure out what went wrong. Where did it die and what caused it.
On my side, i log in just the same, the page loads just the same, the only change has been a setting to get rid of some rainbows. other than that no changes that seam to make any difference.

To say there is a religious motivation behind the Snowest changes is a far stretch. So yes I do agree that's far from whats going on. Having met Christopher, he's not a evil guy. Not in the least. He just has his ideas and very set in them. Some agree with him, some don't. Life goes on.
