There was no answer there Tom but thanks for trying. I guess since it is starting to dry i better get it wet again and see if i can get another answer;)

Isn't Joe Dirt the mayor of Montana? Maybe send him a telegram asking for advice?

sen tester from montana has announced that he has a 655,000 acre wilderness bill. the national forest that are represented are the kootenai natl forest, lolo national forest and beaverhead deerlodge natl forest. This bill could hurt the riders on this forum hard.

are you talking about the bridge up ruby creek where the guy died a couple of years ago. If so there is a gate at the bottom that gets locked from time to time. We have always just gone around the gate. I am just trying to make sure i know which bridge you are talking about.

Man, I forgot how much fun vacation time up here at Riverbend can be!!

Took a relative up to check out North Baldy on the quads yesterday. I rode my Outlaw 525 and he rode my wifes Sportsman 500. Let's just say only the 525 came back.......Apparently he blew the corner and launched it about 120 feet down the bank. Luckily he was smart enough to bail right away so he didn't get more than a couple of scratches.

Of course it was an old clearcut area so it hit many stumps and logs on its way end over end to its final resting place. We doubled back to the house and got the trailer and recovery gear and finally after 2.5 hours of winching and brushing and actually rolling the quad over a large log, we got it up to throw it on the trailer. Gonna have to talk to the insurance man about this one:(

So what else is there to do here now but drink beer and enjoy the river!!!!!!

If anyones up by Riverbend on the great Pend Oreille this weekend feel free to stop by the dock for a cold beverage......we might have one left:)

Don't ya love it when borrowed gear/equipment gets thrashed?

Seems like 9 times of 10 whenever I borrow something to someone it ends up not coming back, even tho the previous 10 times I rode it it did fine.

Hell Devil (pun intended) I did that TODAY.
BTW, my knee was feeling oh so much better, until I did the same damn thing today.................again. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Not as bad today though. I can ride I think. No wakeboarding tomorrow though:(

Ruby Creek Gate was closed most of the year last year I thought  at least it was every time I wanted to go up.

tim, i think it is where guy was killed, there is a memorial on a tree at creek. i was told they close the gate when no or low snow so trucks don't drive up and tear road up (that was one of forest capitals comments). it is a groomed trail also, was on it last year. they close in march to keep out trucks. the bridge is gone and road has been dredged. its ok, i'll go around, but its just another trail closure that leads to great riding.
