Is anyone having issues with Axys spindles? Buddy got a brand new sled and it split in half within 2 miles on what looked like a harmless bump. The ski just sheared off with the bottom half of the spindle. No damage to anything else.

I have about 1100 miles on mine. Hit a rock hard enough to bend a 36" alternative impact lower a arm and didn't do a thing to the spindle
He is not alone!
There have been numerous pics posted of the AXYS RMK spindle shearing off in various spots between the lower A-arm mount and the spindle bolt. He is not alone.
Enough of a problem / concern to get numerous companies making some very nice billet versions.

ZBroz or ZRP?... I'm a little confused on the separation of the companies.
Are they straight spindles or 1" offset spindles.
If they are different then the ZRP spindles posted above, can you post a pic?

From what I see... neither ZBroz nor ZRP offer OFFSET spindles for the AXYS Mtn. Sleds.

I just checked Source Innovations and Don't see an offset AXYS Mtn. Spindle with them either.

The ZBROZ spindle will bolt up the Assault RMK models, but is not a replacement for the Assault Spindles because the steering arm and steering stops on the Assault Spindle are different than the PRO RMK for AXYS.
The ZRP Spindle takes these differences into account, hence the two different models.
This is correct. Completely different companies from two completely different owners...the only tie is that they have the same last name...the confusions comes from being in the same town as well. They have no business relations.
I might have asked this somewhere else but can't remember. Do the offset spindles give a weird feeling at the bars from the different pivot lines? I'm guessing not but if anyone has ridden them can answer.
I've ridden the offsets on a PRORIDE RMK for a brief ride this year... definitely a different feel... a bit more steering effort in slow speed.
I would bet it's the same on the AXYS... but have no direct experience.
