Just currious if anyone has some reality based speculation on what "Dealer Incentives" they will be offering on new 2009 / 2010 Sleds.

I was in Rexburg Motor Sports the other day, and they told me flat out NOT TO BUY anything for at least another 60 days as they were certain there would be MUCH better deals available by early October.

I would fire a salesman that told a potential customer NOT TO BUY.......incentives or not

but, it being RMS, no big surprise!!!

thats a good salesman in my book. Unless he is indeed my employee. Its a two way street. I'd buy from him for sure!

I would guess there will be many snowchecks that don't get picked up this year. I'm sure there will be some killer deals on X models also.

For what it's worth.
He was pretty sure there would be some serious factory incentives on both the hold over 2009s, as well as the new 2010s.

And I was READY to buy, and he convinced me to wait it out.

If you get any news on the actual incentives could you please post them on here.

I've never bought a new sled so forgive me but how much do you think a guy could buy a 2010 Summit 800 X 154" for in December(of this year)? Speculation I know, but roughly how much less are places selling them for by then?

There's no riding to be had here until late December anyways and we never go to the mountains earlier than Christmas.

Chances are we will all find out at the same moment in time with Ski-Doo publicizes them later this fall.

But who knows, maybe someone will have the inside scoop.

Went by Rexburg Motor Sports today to drop off my RZRs for their first service, and low and behold, the 2010 Ski-Doos have arrived and were being uncrated and assembled.

I don't know much about incentives offered in a marked for snowmobiles. but I would bet that the incentives would offer more money back for skidoo gear and 2 or maybe even three year warranties. Considering the market i think the biggest thing that companies could do is financing options low interest for a few years then the interest comes back with a vengeance. I could be way off but I can't see Bombardier giving away the cash they need to keep going. All the major Sled companies are running pretty thin right now except Yamaha(they are deversified in a million different ways). If one of the companies does anything major they will all follow. well maybe not yamaha.

Ya, thats the whole point of this thread.
Speculating on just WHAT they might offer to entice us to come into the dealer and BUY A NEW SLED in the middle of the worse recession the country has seen in years.

Dealerships ARE going under and closing all across the nation.

I am hoping to see 4 things, or some combination of them.

#1. Rebates/Cash Back/Factory Incentives

#2. LOW interest rates

#3. Extended Warrenties

#4. Extra goodies to go with the sled.

i wonder if they will do the low interest 69 a month like last year with all the banks being tightwads now.

Honestly do not know.
BUT...

I would be very surprised if they don't come out with something agressive.

People are BROKE and a whole lot of them are loosing their jobs!

Cash Flow will be PARAMOUNT to many buyers.

If they offer this for sleds, they will sell everything they have in stock!!

Exceptional factory incentives. Act today!

I wonder if the inflated msrp's for 2010 where set so when they offer 3000$ in rebates they are getting the price closer to what they want.

ie. 2009 yami 14000$(CAN)
2010 16200........Now lets offer a 2400$ rebate.

Who knows what programs they will have. One thing I know for sure is it kills the used market and sleds that are 1-3 years old.

Make sure you buy the sled you want because you will be riding it for a few years unless you want to take a decent beating on resale.

gotta read the fine print:)09s up to a $1000 rebate.07 & 08s $1800.and a dealer can eat another 1000 to get to the BS maybe a $2800 rebate:)
