YES it was me!! And yes I do not understand what is going on with the grooming on the Highway and Eagle Meadow road or lack of?? Fingers are pointed every which way but the bottom line is there is grooming schedule and complaince for the grooming that we know are not being met. And of coarse the USFS in Pinecrest is in charge of that. The last couple of storms have giving us great snow to groom I call it ego snow, you really have to work at screwing it up. I,We try to groom that area as much as we can, And we know how many poeple like it. (IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO DO) with the right stuff and want to do a good job. AND I DON'T GET PAID!

The grooming is so bad this year on 108, my buds and I have found other places to ride including hwy 4 with great consistent grooming, but that's what you get when you groom on schedule.
Yep, There are huge complaince issues on this Hwy this year and powers to be don't give a Sh*t thats for sure, Were finding different ways out to the cabin from sno park to Eagle Creek where are grooming start,We need to call higher up's on this so this doesn't happen next year.
everyone that rides the area should start a letter and e-mail campaign to the fs and to the green sticker people. could someone post the mailing and e-mail address to these agencies. if it is getting paid for it should be done right. snomoride, i am getting a new knee next month. how was your trip? jim

Trip was great, lots of snow there at Bucks Lake and Haskins Valley Inn was a great place to stay, Great rooms, Great food, and good riding areas, And when they groom it's very good, good equip. and pride in what they do. Had a great time. What a new knee wow let me know how it goes. Got our enclosed trailer Tuesday so my 8x10 shorelander is For Sale pass the word up there.

well xpbeeir,at sonora pass there is no way to get to the hi country without using the hi way. because of the usage it gets very rough. if you are paying for the grooming it should be done at least sort of good. jim

To go back to the grooming , Some people are missing the point that some,or a lot of us are saying, If you paying for a service then you should get it . And if there are set specs. for the grooming then they keep to the specs. and schedule.This was done last year with out a problem, That it why we set up a spec. for grooming and a set schedule, depending on the wheather. The more you groom the less time it takes as you go along, It's called consistency that is what we had last year. As long as there is a grooming program then we should get what we pay for, It doesn't matter who is at fault it just needs to be fixed.

snomoride - Thanks for the info. I agree about the grooming, it should be done per contract and the set schedule. I plan on contacting Terry Harper and others at FS before next years contract goes out for bid.
well said. 3 t0 4 inches of new snow this morning at 4200ft in so oregon. lots more at diamond and crater lakes. jim
