Someone in Kelowna know Ted@ Terra Alps?

I am new on here, and have been looking for someone to do a bb kit. The only reason I joined Snowest was to research potential companies. Looks like Ted is off of my list. I feel really bad for you. I hope Ted has some consience and gets your sled to you soon CRF.

I would have thought other Mod companies might at least offer some help to these guys. Especially Ted's suppliers, I noticed he has a link to Engine Tech, Jaws Performance, and Starting Line Products. I bet these guys would not be to pleased being linked to a company that screws it's customers!!!!

Maybe it's time to start calling the owners of his suppliers, they might be able to put some preasure on. It's the least they can do to help out the sledding community put an end to this type of BS.

Agree, I know a few people that live in Kelowna and have lost there construction jobs. Guy's are not going to be lining up for sled work, especially when you get such negative feed back on your customer service like this. Ted better get his head out of his azzz, and wakeup from his dream world. He is busy this year but next year I bet Terra Alps will be gone.

i know ive needled ya a bit etc..but ya i do feel for ya...i wish you was closer and i would sure try to hook ya up with a sled and some rides..well i hope its a gem of all gems when ya get it back...you deserve that at least..i take pleasure in my sled winter and summer..yep ya missed out on a winter...just maybe..just maybe..you have been spared from something bad happining...its a sad way to look at it...but hell if i was in your shoes it would be the only thing that would make me feel even half decent...

Ted told me this last summer that he makes all his money on motors. He doesn't make chit on tunnels and sled builds. Maybe that's why those guys got there motors.

Has anyone sent their motors or sled to Ted in the last month or so? He has to be slowing down. Maybe he's starting to work on the stuff that's been there a year

I had somthing like this happen to me once, but it was a local guy(sounds the like thease guys are brothers). Has every excuse in the book to leed you along tell the season is finished then your screwed. I took the local guy my 700 motor to get a crank and some other parts. Gave him the money as the weeks went by and i thought my motor was getting done but i havent seen it since or my money(this was two years ago). My motor was supposed to have porting, pipes, digitron, bored carbs and some other stuff. As i believed his "tails" threw the the year i finaly lost it and went to pick up my chassis. I was only 18 years old at the time and it was alot of money for me like it is for you guys. So speaking from experience GO GET YOUR SLEDS AND FINSH THEM ELSEWHERE OR YOU WONT RIDE THIS YEAR! I've heard the i'm so busy story before and you guys are going to get shafted. Good luck getting your stuff back, hope it works out for you guys because i've been there and know how it feels.

I kick myself for not selling or trading my XP 154" on a 09 M1000 162". Instead of BB kits, custom tunnels and this painfully long wait. I wanted something that had more power and a longer track.

Ahhh crap I hate thinking about it, I just hope my XP hauls when it's done. Could of went to Vegas or Cancun on the cash I would have saved buying the Cat. And I would have already had a good 1 1/2 months of riding in to boot. (leaves room and bangs head on wall)

Did Ted give you any indication of the Hp and ft/lbs your 860 is going to make? Despite what Ted's minions claim, I wouldn't hold HUGE expectations of an extra 60cc's. There's not a ton left on the table with the Ski-doo 800 motor.

I agree, sometimes you have to cut your losses....The guy is just stringing people along with a different excuse....He is giving them hope but I doubt he will deliver anytime soon, if at all......Obviously being far away makes it tough, but one option would be to have someone local go down there and see exactly what the status of your sled is....This person can also pick up the sled allowing you to get it finished elsewhere.....Not a good situation for anyone involved but sometimes you just gotta say enough is enough....

i think it will haul...im not just saying that...i haven;t got mine fully dailed in yet..no extra fuel going in the top rpms...and she needs it..but a very noticible front end lift height and distance carried so far and she is really really snarky...yea i guess we may not compare as mine is cat to 900 bigbore...but 60 cc may not be alot for you..but if the porting and head is the secret...mine is ported and head mod..well yours may haul ***...i really hope it does...anything to help make it all worth while for ya...really hope you get it sooooooonnnn...
