What ideas did he steal from Chad?
why do you think its a great idea to slam someone when you don;t have anything at his shop...???..and as far as copying im just saying it happens...sometimes for the better..lets get over it...yes there is legitimate and moral concerns against it...but none that will ever be yours cause your just running on hate...something like Jack Layton against Harper...CR have a great great reputation and i hope they have more work then they can handle...but sadly copying goes with the territory..i do wish it would actually stop in reallity ...that way an anus like you wouldn;t be attempting to copy humanity....

Wow, this thread sure has taken another turn, i didn't know there was so many ideas to be copied, snowmobiles normally consist of a engine, tunnel, suspension and track, in many ways configured. I guess we should be mad at Joseph-Armand Bombardier because he technically didn't build the first snowmobile...........get real people

I wasnt talking about design. I was talking about a product that was designed and manufactured by someone then Ted sent it to his machinist and said build these for me and put Terra Alps on it.

Fact is it happens. China does it everyday. Walmart does it. Chad has great products and ideas. But how many are actually his. I don't know and Im just asking. Im sure Chad gets lots of ideas from other people. Chad just makes it happen. So, whos idea is it really? Someone who doesn't care if hes being copied or doesn't want to patent it will stay ahead of the game with new products all the time. If its a real money maker and will be around for a while, i would suggest a patent. But since snowmobiles are constantly changing a patent might not be a wise investment. I wouldnt call it stealing. Its business. Happens to OEM everyday.
Based on how the economy is going, yes.... money issue. People will do anything for it regardless of morals.
its really a wierd call...i mean things have to follow some set basics..then is it copying..??..if i want to build a rim for my vehicle...well the basics is 5 hole stud pattern and 14 inches round...but is that copying even though i changed the spoke pattern abit a chromed it...??..yep it probably is...but its kinda unavoidable isn;t it..?? i can;t build the rim and tire square...so its the same with tunnels etc...there is only really a few directions you can go...your sure not going to have the tunnel drop towards the track at the back...its going to slope up...so if i build on sloping up is that copying...??...no its just limited parimeters that we have to work in to have the modification usefull...these brainchilds are often common sense but admittley hard work on behalf of some people to put them in our hands
Valid question. Just one example is how a few years ago Chads started cutting the CR logo into his tunnels and putting a polished doubler behind it to make it stand out. Ted (in his typical style) is hanging around Chad's shop saying it's a bad idea and a waste of time. Well look at Ted's tunnels now. While Chad does 90% of his work in house, some of it is farmed out (machining, shearing etc.). This is still a small town and Ted has been caught many times snooping around these shops. The biggest problem has been Ted's trash talking CR's products. Say what you want about Chad and CR Racing, but if your sled goes there, your coming out with a sled that's done on time, on budget and working well right out of the gate. Don't believe me? Chad's shop is 2 miles to my left, Ted's is 1 mile to my right. I went to school with Ted, and I've known Chad for 15 years. This hardly a secret around here.

lhf, please stop pm'ing me, if you want to defend yourself do it in public. To answer your question yes I do know the meaning of the word integrity, and I believe someone who comes onto a public forum and bashes people's work for no reason other than to stir the pot and raise the hair on people's necks is seriously lacking it.
If you want to offer people some good advice as to why shops like terra alps, specialty, etc etc don't know what they are doing then please let us know exactly what "the program" is and why you feel that way, otherwise go away and stop being an internet troll

man alive..this lhf what a friggin case..who left the door open to let him walk out of that padded room....integrity he defends..man alive it goes down the sewer if its within 100 miles of you bud...anyway get a grasp...12000 plus views....300 plus posts...and what...8 customers with issues..???...yep they are legit...but start this sort of thread on ANY OTHER AFTERMARKET SUPPLIER OF THE SAME....and see what happens..!!!!!!...why so so so hateful....did you need a porkchop tied around your neck when you was a kid so a dog would play with ya..???....oh i think maybe Ted has met ya..only thing though is he covers ya up with scotties little softies and then hits the flush lever...
