wow... glen, yall were in and out fast. we were up right before cliff lake with a huge fire for a couple hours as my sled was broken down, got back into the lot as you guys were headed out!

Was it Windy? Was gonna go, but it seemed like it would be windy as hell. From the looks of the cornices, there seemed to be a little wind. Can't wait till wednesday...Hopefully this next tuesday storm will be a doozy.

We could smell your campfire! I think were were just up on the ridge above the lake, and then decided to head out.

the light was pretty bad, not so bad in the woods, but hit those open climbs and it was kinda funky!!

there was just a little light wind.

as far as the camp fire.. yeah, ill have to get some pics up.... im suprised you didnt see the billowing smoke from when we cranked up the live stuff!!

really wish I could have gone out today... it looked SO nice out... this stuff was heavy.. I imagine there are gonna be some nasty slides with this super warm weather and the posabilty of rain later this week/weekend.

keep up the good work, and the weekday pow slaying... april seems to be the deepest month to date!!

this makes me mad because i had to put my sled away already...

No offense summit but you don't live in the mountains. In Tahoe we have been getting crushed this April. Piles of snow.

Like I tell my friends, you want to play in the snow, move to where it snows. I have 5 ft in my front yard right now.

We saw the slide in the distance (not live, after it had slid) on our way out but didn't think too much about it.

I didn't hear anything about it until later that night.

I knew the guy and rode with him several times. Super nice guy that will most definitely be missed.

EVERYONE DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL FOR THE REST OF SEASON. This year has brought a very unstable snowpack.

that north facing wall in that Basin is a good place for that stuff to happen, never did like going over there anytime of year...

Glenn, it looks a though your crew was maybe involved in an Avy and mistakes were made too?:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-win

Yeah, that was me. I figured she slid maybe a whopping 12 feet vertical.:face-icon-small-win I actually kind of surfed it down on my snowmobile. I have seen that hill in Macatee slide numerous times. Last year a guy from North Dakota got caught and was lucky to be dug out. That is a really dangerous area.
