Scaring animals in yellowstone? What a joke. It always comes down to the national park and how the animals there might be affected if it was that big of deal they would shut the park down so apperantly (sp) its not that big of deal... What about the rest of the animals where people ride? Pretty sure they wont be affected either, scaring animals should be the last thing that people are whining about because of snowmobiling, that is just dumb why dont people put their time and money into something that would benefit people more like a cure for cancer or an alternative fuel source for vehicles leave snowmobiles to those that know what they are doing.

First off, if your dumb enough to get one ... second they would probably only put one antenna on it and couldn't pick up SL signal when its on its top

This hear is what pisses me off more then anything...

but in places like Yellowstone, or other wildlife areas where snowmobiles are used, disturbing the local habitat with loud sounds can have negative consequences for animals.

These idiots don't realize that any animal is more impacted by a human walking or skiing past them then on a wheeler or sled, lets take a deer or elk and go past them on a sled and what do they do????? watch the sled or wheeler til it disappears now lets take the same situation and walk or ski past them and the situation changes due to the "human" being a threat instead of a quick pass, it sees you as a predator and there is no "negative consequence" for the animal other then it quit milling around for 5 sec while we went by to get to the snow where there is very little animal life

another classic example of the uneducated libs we have deal with everyday

it all BS... the BEST sled put next to nothing and they say "half of the CO2" but don't say how much is half... and then the noise issue.. the BEST sled in the park are very quiet... we were in the park this past weekend and the animals did not flee... crap we dreove around them
