my klim socks always slip off my feet and bunch up in my boots!! drives me nutz! anyone have a good pair of technical riding socks that stay put??

I always put my socks over my fleece long johns. Seems to keep them up. Also I wear the long wool boot socks that. Go up over the calf. Should be able to find them at sporting goods stores.

I put my socks on and then my base layer. It makes them virtually impossible to come off.

I like really thin socks. I use Smartwool ski liner. They are super thin. My boot provide the insulation, i just need something thin to start the moisture movement. If you like something a little thicker. They also make different weight socks- either snowboard or ski.

If Dahlgren still makes a ski specific sock, theirs are sweet too. I have a pair of those. A little spendy though.

Oh yeah, no slippage with any of these, even if I am not wearing thermals over them. Get em and be done with it

What kind of boots are you wearing? I find that is almost more important to the old pulling the socks off problem. If your boots say Sorel on them anywhere, theres your problem.

I got my new MotorFist socks and they are nice and tight, helps that they go almost to my knee. Also if you find socks that are offered in a smaller size try them, I always buy my socks the size under what's recommended even regular everyday socks and I never have an issue. Bunched up socks is like a pet peeve of mine!

Something that MIGHT work great as well. Wish I could find a pair to try on before buying. I love the idea though. Could probably accomplish the same thing with a needle and thread with your favorite socks and long underwear.

Same here.
Always put the socks OVER the long underwear.
That creates LOTS of friction for the sock to bite against and mine have never slid down.

But it could also be a matter of how big your calf muscle is for the elastic band at the top to work against.

Athletic ankle socks work the best for me, make youe feet a non-issue

Last year I started to just use ankle socks as well.

I used to tape my socks up like you would with hockey socks, and that worked good too. The biggest problem with taping them is the tape starts to pull the fabric of the socks apart after awhile.

Recently I was at Shade Tree Powersports and found Klim ankle socks, so I am going to give them a try this year so I am not wearing cotton socks.

I'm not sure I like the idea of socks attached to the long underwear. I expect sooner or later I will step into some water and soak my socks, thus the 2nd pair. I use these socks from Cabela's and have been happy with them. I used to cruise timber in the winters and I've had my share of blisters from soggy droopy socks.

im wearing the klim adrenaline boots. and i do put my socks on before my klim pants, but the klim pants i am wearing are not the tight one's the socks are the pull up over the calf one's from klim.

i dont wear long underwear. not cold enough where i am. just socks and klim technical gear i think its called and then my bib.

i get too warm with long underwear. i just make sure to get long enough ones that come up over my calf. seems to help them stay up

I use smart wool socks that are made for hunting, there the heavy cushion and they go up to my knees because I was also tired of socks going in my boots. No problems now and I like the extra cushion these socks provide, I would recommend getting some.

Same problem. I only wear shorts under my outer layer. I usually pull my socks up and then zip tie them tight. Keeps them good and in place.

ZIP TIE!! does this not turn your feet purple? i guess if you can't feel your feet you dont know your socks are bunching!! should i strap my socks to my boxers? Im going to try a pair of the smartwool socks and see how it goes...
