You need to have the February 2024 version of 7SDD software installed. Some older versions have a lot of glitches and freezes. The current software version is SNS7BA.N42404A

You need to have the February 2024 version of 7SDD software installed. Some older versions have a lot of glitches and freezes. The current software version is SNS7BA.N42404A

When working properly, with current software, the 7SDD does NOT start a new track every time it shuts down. Make sure the hood connection and the connections on the back of the gauge are not damaged and fully engaged and clipped in. The GPS antenna inside the glovebox needs to be properly mounted to the roof of the glovebox.
After starting up the sled, look at the map screen and IF
the current position arrow,
or the Compass Course Bearing letter (such as N) in the top icon bar, is faded in color,
or the word "Locating" is in the lower right of the screen, with a rotating starburst, the 7SDD does not yet have GPS satellite lock. Wait until the satellite lock is obtained, before moving, and there will be no breaks in your current track.
