snowmobilers missing out of grizzly creek

That is what I heard there was a second slide, possible 2 more caught up. Not sure who, but they are not allowing any more people into parking lot or to help search. The boys still haven't been found. It's getting alittle scary all my friends are up there, hope things start working out for the better not worse.

JT Walton,

Thanks for keeping us all posted. I am sure there are a lot of people out there pulling and praying for your friends survival. If is anything I can do sitting behind a keyboard in Minneapolis, MN please let me know!

Shawn

I was in Kremmling and Silverthorn this morning, looked clear and sunny to the west out tord RE's. It was cold last night, -3 on the east side of grand county in Fraser. Two night in these temps with wet gear is really tough, even for a few 23 year old kids.

pray with me-

It is truely a helpless feeling to know there are lost, cold, possibly injured brothers (of us all) needing help, and most of us are far away. Join me in this prayer-

Heavenly Father- we humbly join together to ask for Your mercy on these lost men. We ask that You would give them strength, send Your Spirit to encourage them and give them peace. Give them Your wisdom as they wait for rescue. We ask that You would empower them with resolve to keep fighting the good fight.

We also lift up those who are putting themselves in harms way to look for these brothers- give them supernatural sight, wisdom, and strength. Protect them from the dangerous conditions, give them resolve to not give up until the job is done.

And for the families and loved ones of these brothers- please calm them, comfort them, and hold them in Your hands.

In the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, Amen

I heard that too, I have friends in GCSAR that are over there helping with the search. I hope people aren't trying to come in from RE's and drop down to the search area! Putting SAR at risk would be terrible!

Whats the weather like up there today?

I was just up above the Mill and you can see all of the way up towards Buff. Clouds are rolling in fast and the temps just dropped 20 in the last 30 minutes. God, I hope they find them soon. 3 nights in bitter cold with no food or little food is tough.

And AMEN

If they decide they can use another cat w/operator, mine is here in Ft. Collins on the trailer. It'll haul 6 comfortably w/gear, 8 if needed w/less gear given the conditions. I'm former SAR/ES so not new to the game. Someone PM me that's "in the loop" if Jackson SAR/SO is interested....

I'm also pretty sure LCSO would throw their new Prinoth Trooper in with a SAR crew if they are asked for mutual aid from the SO, just need to ASK!

Looks like their going to be spending another night? Doesn't SAR stop searching @ 4:00pm? I spent the night & a long day 4yrs ago & can't imagine spending another 2 nights on top of that. Prayers for them.

Damn! I just found out who it is. Sick to my stomach right now.

Don't ask, because it is the family's wished that names aren't broadcast about.

But damn!

X2 I've known these guys for a long time. Hoping for some good news soon. Waiting to hear from a friend who is up there.

At least one of the brothers has been found-

Posted in the Ft Collins Paper at 5 pm tonight:

Rescuers have spotted one of the two missing Fort Collins snowmobilers who got caught in an avalanche Sunday on Buffalo Pass near Walden.

The two men are brothers who work at their family's Fort Collins-based automotive repair shop.

One of the brothers had been in periodic cell phone contact with search teams since yesterday, and a National Guard helicopter spotted one of the men with his father, who had been participating in the search.

"We have located one of the subjects. His father was the first one to reach him in the snow cave," said Missi White, logistics team leader with Jackson County Search and Rescue.

White said she could not confirm the condition of either of the missing men. Workers at the family's business confirmed their identity
