Snowmobilers For McCain/Palin...

I think its Awsome!!!

We need to support Mcain & Palin.........Women in the office would be great for us...(Unless it would be Hillary)....She is one of us down to earth kind of person.................................................................Mcain might be older than what we would like BUT their is alot to be said about being an older person starting with Wisdom..........

If you think about it what has Barack done for us....Then again thats my thoughts...Iam not always right just ask my wife..

I think there's a long history of frustration with McCain on the Republican side. McCain is no Reagan, and a far cry from Bush.

The "Maverick" and "crossing the Isle" propositions are the construct of his long, often frustrating history (McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, etc.), and "voted with G.W. Bush 90% of time" mantra has only been a reality since about 2004. (30yrs - 4yrs = 26 years smarmy maverick)

That said, I think we're certain to see a wave of additional government regulation if Obama wins and a significantly adverse effect on land use. This will not bode well for snowmobiles, OHVs, access, recreational development, etc...

As far as land use goes, if the "Trifecta" happens - Senate = Reid, House = Pelosi, Pres = Obama with filibuster proof majorities, we'll all be moving to Canada if you want to ride sleds within a few years without playing bumper-cars in the backcountry.

I think we're in for a mild populist landslide win for Obama, considering McCain's half-hearted campaign and we're going to watch 4 years of a Carter-like learning curve as Obama learns the ropes at our expense.

After a few years in the oval office - the liberals are going to be surprised by what they voted for. He's sure to be a one termer. Hillary will be back.

I'm a staunch conservative and I don't see a good choice in the pack.
Unfortunately in this election, party trumps person.

We deserver better from both parties.

MD.

As far as Palin - she's likely a cliff note in presidential politics. But, I'd rather see her experience the learning curve in office than Obama any day.

Has anyone noticed that land use issues have nothing to do with the president? Yes, it is true that Democrats are more likely to close land to riding, but it is not our elected officials (more specifically the president) to cause this. It is clubs like the Sierra Club that push money to the Congressmen (both Democrats and Republicans) to get them to create a bill to close land.

This is just like the last election, they majority of the people I know are voting Republican, and 90% of them say they don't like the candidate, but they are the lesser of two evils. Now, the few people I know that are voting for Obama, all of them tell me they like him and can tell me exactly why they are voting for him.

<<Yes, it is true that Democrats are more likely to close land to riding, but it is not our elected officials (more specifically the president) to cause this.>>

Pure nonsense. You're proposing to be 1/2 pregnant?

Clinton went around creating new "national parks" in his last days - it was an easy way of funding his Library & Massage parlor. Bill Ritter (Gov. Colorado) landed his chopper and blessed now sacred oil fields with protectionism and no development. EPA, USFS, BLM, Dept Interior, are all federal programs which receive funding, directives and input top to bottom.

When your candidate endorses cap & trade, or Global warming - anything is fair game under that religion. Trust me, I live amongst the loonies and if Obama wins they're going to feel they have more license to go after all things green and pristine.

It's all connected.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Yes, that is right off McCain's website. Any more comments?

Listen, we won't be able to ride if there are no more companies around that produce snowmobiles, right? Now, you might ask why would that be? Well, on the current track of the country, no one will have any money to buy anything in a couple years under the current economic direction of the country, which McCain wants to continue.

Does anyone remember the 30s and 20% unemployment?

so call five people and ask them to vote for McCain...

btw I am

desperately clinging to guns and religion

Just as long as you are a part of the Alaskan Indpendent Party, whose primary mission is to succeed from the union.

* to withdraw from the United States of America (Union).

Sledding is the least of our worries.

so true, im voting for the old guy that has a 50/50 chance of dieing before the end of his term. Palin is a pretty face with a strong vocab....thats all she has. The other guy worries me more than her.....this is a very sad group of folks to vote from, very sad!

Mule, thanks for the grammar lesson, that is what happens when you type quickly. And Hatchers, read up about 5 posts, you are the typical McCain supporter.

I had a long discussion with my buddy who is a McCain supporter yesterday and I asked him what policies McCain supports that you also support that make you want to vote for him. After 20 minutes, I got:

1. If McCain is going to give me $5,000 for health care, I want that money.
2. McCain is going to war, I like war and want to kill all those ragheads.
3. Obama hangs out with terrorists.

So, that is all he could come up with, and this is a person that watched all four debates and watches Fox News (and supposedly CNN) all the time. I just want to find one person that thinks McCain's policies are going to be good for the country.

2001400ex..........if the president has nothing to do with land closures then how do you explain the Clinton land grab in the final days of his administration?

We can't get enough sledders together to stop a land closure, let alone electing a president.

Let's take a look at Obama's policy's shall we. Palin has been in government longer than Obama, but she is the inexperienced one? Obama's policy's are just the same bunch of regurgitated (sp) democratic empty promises that they have been using for a decade. Not saying McCain's are new but this whole "Change" thing is a load of feces. Universal health care is going to kill us all, ask canada.

I don't think either candidates policy's are going to be good for the country, but one is better than the other.

What does watching Fox or CNN have to do with it. 90% of the media is behind Obama. Fox says thier fair and balanced, thier better than most, but they obviously have their preference. Turn off the TV and read a voter pamphlet.

Mule,
That was great! The sign really tops it off.

There's a point to this..? oh, I get it. One is judged by the company they keep...:p You need smarter friends...:D

Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago ?

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago ; 221 killed in Iraq .

Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin,

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.,

Gov. Rod Blogojevich,

House leader Mike Madigan,

Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),

Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)

.....our leadership in Illinois .....all Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .

Of course, they're all blaming each other.

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us!

......

Look, I know I am in the extreme minority on here. But we have had a Republican Congress and President from 2001 through 2006 and in Montana the land closures did not stop. I am saying it is mostly due to the Sierra Club and Subaru driving idiots that want to snowshoe (who the funk does that) and walk everywhere buying Congress. The President has little control.

I am actually advocating a Democrat president and Republican congress.

And for the news channels, is Fox News not part of the media? They keep talking this "liberal bias" in the media. Last I checked, all cable news have their commentators that are about split. Look at CNN Headline news, Glenn Beck is the main guy at night, and he is a hardcore right-winger, just ask him, he will tel you.

For medical care, we need some Canadians to drop in here, but the couple I have talked to have no problems with their system. The real issue though, Obama is not for universal health care. Even my wife knows that and she does not watch politics.

Do some research and come to me with some reasons to vote for McCain! I just want a good discussion.
