Snowmobile in Chile

Have traveled to Chile twice and I can say it is spectacular! Santiago is a huge city and when there we located the Harley shop and about 2 blocks from it was a Ski-Doo shop. I traveled to Balmaceda area and it feels so much like the Big Sky area of Montana and as you head towards the costal towns it's like the Pacific Northwest coast. The trees are all deciduous and there are no conifers what so ever and there areas that were intentionally burned to clear land for livestock some years ago that would make some awesome runs, that being said private land essentially encompasses all of the mountains in that area.

Would love to sled down there that's for sure

Hi everyone,
I'm a snowboarder who needed to go check out more than the resorts in Chile offered. I'm among the first people to explore the Andes on snowmobiles, it has been the best experience!! These mountains are insane, huge!! all kinds of terrain and really good snow! It's been 7 years of fun, heading into where no man has ever been on a daily basis, and going big while doing it! we use our sleds to get around the steeps, and the drop them on our boards. getting to the lines is funner than riding them some times! anyways, get ahold of me if you are thinking of coming, we have new PRO RMKs since last year!! We hosted Polaris Testing... life is a gift! oh yeah, our season is off set to the States, runs from july to october.

My wife is from Argentina and goes back every 2 years to see her parents. I will be going down next trip we already had plans to meet them in Chile. We usually try to go during the summer months (our winter) but that just changed!!

I went down to Chile for a snowboard tour with Powderquest last August, it was trip of lifetime. Andes are mind blowingly awesome, I just kept thinking how incredible it would be to sled there. I posted up a trip report here with some great pics and video:
