Snowest - Beat up the Yammys Pretty Good anyone changing?

Within 10 lbs,not too shabby.:D

add the weight of 3 gallons of gas[18lbs.] doos don't need the electric start[20lbs.] and probably had a full jug of oil ,only needs 2qts.[10lbs.].......not too shabby, why is it everyone can't come to terms with the heavier weight deal of the yammis, the blizzard also doesn't need a turbo [$5ooo] to ride hills, like the guy said yamaha brags about their lightweight bikes and atv's so lets see some action on the mountain sled market, the average joe can ill afford to spend the big coin makin the nytro into a ''contender''.Theres no question of the engine reliability its been there for years, but there are riders who want and like the lighter gear and if weight wasn't an issue then the hillclimbers and mountain guys wouldn't try to be shedding weight all the time.Ask 50 guys if they want a lighter sled in a yamaha and i'll bet my left nut that those 50 will all say yes,so lets not kid ourselves guys we can stick all kinds of options on stuff when there weighed but come to the real world,i weigh 285 and i'm not gonna climb with a guy who weighs 150,i can make all the excuses in the world it ain't gonna change,so why do we come on here and other forums to try and do it.Fact is the nytro and apex are awesome sleds but they are heavy[have ridden both],but now with the weight savings came chassis durability[and the xp's too]so i really think all sleds have come to the end of the line to weight reduction.

For me the weight is not that big of an issue. I place a much higher priority on engine reliability and longevity so I'll put up with the extra weight. I also like that I don't have to jet and clutch. I also like that both my Vector and Nytro don't blow belts, get good MPG (the Vector is excellent), and don't smoke up my yard when I first start them up.

All sleds are heavy when stuck. I does take me longer to dig mine out and get it unstuck but what the heck, it's exercise and that takes weight off my body. I rather deal with some extra weight than sit in my garage rebuilding a top end or wonder where I'm going to find a lower end for cheap after the crank goes out on my big 2-stroke twin.

Different strokes for different folks.
