No you nailed it. That is the NW face of Currie which many don't recognize as well as the North face. So good memory.
20 years ago was the good old days of exploration around here. Getting a lot more busy and known now. Have to work a little harder to get off the beaten path.

You live in a beautiful area. Most of my time there was spent paragliding, but enjoyed skiing and climbing there too. I grew up on the coast and miss
those mountains! But for the past 21 years I have figured out a new awesome spot. The west kootenays are beautiful and still pretty quiet. I still keep in touch with some of your compadres down there. Not sure who you are but weve probably crossed paths before. Please keep your pictures coming!

If you're a paraglider then if we haven't met then we definitely know common people. The new upper launch is a great snowbiking zone early season.
I lived in the west kootenays in the mid 80's and then worked summers there forestry through the early 90's. Beautiful country. Be some great snowbiking.

It was ok, groomed Monday so pretty smooth. Was hard and icy low down in the morning, but got better as you climbed. Still a bit of a upper body workout though.

A couple weeks ago it was so icy with nothing to get into on the side that our tracks were smoking. Took forever to get up the first few k's stopping and throwing snow on the track.
I see now it's gravel out of the parking lot. Will be less painful when you can drive to 4k.
