Personally, I think that spine contraption is too big to carry around with two bikes on the back of the truck.

its not bad at all just put in between the bikes works just fine

Crazygunner, thanks for the tip on unloading. I gave it a shot this weekend and it worked great. Took a bit to make the step from the tailgate to the ramp, but once it started down it was easy. I'm planning on welding on another section to the steps to make it less of a step back.

Looks like my tailgate dropping days are over. I'm getting to like the spine more and more as I get used to it.
