I rode yesterday up to about 5500-6k ft and all the snow from the last storm cycle is toast. Might find something at higher elevations but doubtful. Snow levels are very high.

Pretty typical cycle for around here. Doesnt really get to be great riding tell late February Imho!

What area did you ride how bad was the snow conditions?

Snow is toast. Put it this way, I will be in Leavenworth all weekend and I don't think I am bringing my sled. It is crusted out and wind blown. We found some ok conditions in the trees but it was nasty everywhere. Very warm at higher elevations the last few days.
Why do people act like children when on the internet.
Its a fact jack! Cats sidehill, plain and simple. thats the only reason i ride one! Also every week when people complain about gold creek and salmon le sac, I go up expecting crummy snow. But not where I ride. 6.5-7k. Its been good every single weekend since the beginning of december!
I thought u were being sincere when u said it might be good above 6k.

Bet a whole mes of single skis could slice a little piece of heaven out of the area and salvage a day or two till it's couch worthy!

rode today, really wet and mushy up to about 5500, then okay above, but only about 3-4" of new and concrete underneath. Everything is rode out, need a serious dump to clean everything up again and make some good riding.

Rode Gold Creek Sunday and it was a rock solid crusty joke.
We rode to the highest point, and then decided to go load back up before a sled got wrecked, overheated, or both.
Done until the next blast of winter.

I was wrong. I decided not to ride last weekend and the group that went claimed they found good snow at higher elevations in the I90 corridor (not GC). Apparently there was an inversion which kept it from freezing up high and the sun softened it up even more. I was pissed. You just don't know until you get out for yourself.
That would us! Great snow with blue bird skys and nobody there! Thank you!
