Whoa that first vid is Unbelievable. Second Vid is just total ignorance. I was riding today and i ran into a group of guys and rode with them for a bit. I asked if they had beacons, and they all said "we left them in the truck" and "we dont bother bringing them" and "it never slides up here". There are avalanche warnings all over the state, and some people still don't listen/care. blows my mind.
The first vid is from Cameron Pass/Long Draw road. I hit that side hill EVERYTIME I ride there. After seeing this and riding by it today, I'll skip it. That little hill slides alot, but I never thought it would pull enough snow down to bury me. Thanks to that vid, I see it very differently.
This one was on our local news last night. Too bad the local news anchors didn't realize the guy who triggered it was an idiot for climbing that hill while a guy was not only on it ahead of him...but WAY MORE vulnerable because he was afoot instead of on his sled.
The one who got buried and the one who drove over and dug him out were on national TV this morning, not the smart one who started the slide, wonder why!
