SLP Flash

I thought I read somewhere a while back that one could have Polaris flash the SLP ECU map to a bone stock 900 and it would get better mileage and power than the stock flash, and not have any adverse effects. Does anyone know any truth to this?

Tap'd from my GNex

I have had my local dealer flash a few ecus for me to stock, and SLP..

If going from SLP to stock, they don't have any kind of special programmed flash that is better then when the sled was new (stock)..it's simply the digital wrench programming from the factory..

Stock is the most reliable form, but does not get any gains by any means

Thanks, guido. I was reading a thread somewhere on Monday night, regarding the 05 900's. A few gentlemen were stating that the OEM flash was "doggy, choked-down, unresponsive" and strictly mapped for emissions reasons. They also stated that the SLP flash actually ran leaner than the OEM flash.

So with the same reasoning, would this warrant a fuel programmer useless/not recommended for a stock engine?

I appreciate your help!!!!

i do not reccommend using a fuel controller..i have used 4 different boondockers fuel controlers (with nitrous and without) and they are garbage...they always break internally or short and kill the sled and have to be "jumped" to make the sled run anyways....just go stock flash or slp flash with pipe
