slp can on m8

Wow that is tight, Im sure someone will be able to help ya out with this as that is a very very popular model.
 
depending on year and model M8, you may have the wrong year slp can. post a pic of the can, and the year and model M. Ski
 
SLP makes a can for the 2010-2011 M8 and the 2007-2009. Verify which one you have, that could be the cause of this.
 
I have an 09 m8 and purchased an 09-872 slp pipe, silencer and y pipe. It has a dented section of the pipe to accommodate the exhaust valve housing, but it is just as close as the picture of the stock pipe.

Yeah, but if you had put up pictures of the can, we could se what was actually wrong. We understand the clearance issue you have, but to solve it, we need to see something more than just the pipe where it does not fit.
Your problem is not where the pipe hit the powervalves. Your problem is with the SLP can. So to be able to help, you should post pics of the problem, not where it occurs.
 
I just ended up using a ballpean hammer and dented it yo fit. Plus the instructions and the exhaust says 07 to 09 m8 // crossfire r
 
They can't be installed upside down. The top holes in the Y pipe are closer to the center than the bottom holes.

Sorry, my fault. Was thinking of the 1000 where you can turn the y-pipe. Atleast on the aftermarket pipes.
