Been a couple years since iv'e stayed there but thinking about a trip 3rd week in March....looked at web site and not a picture or anything snowmobile related. I know they used to have a little info about snowmobiling on threre. Just checking with the locals. Thanks

SLO sold and it is now called Hahn's Peak Roadhouse or something like that. Still sledder friendly from what I understand. We drove by there in mid January on our way up north for a weekend ride and it looked like it was open and active (we did not stop).

Let me see if I can find the link to the thread that discussed the sale - found it:

Pretty sure they do, saw sleds out front last time we were up there. If not, about 10 miles up the road is Midnight Ranch lodge. Stayed there a few weeks ago, nice place and good riding.

As stated earlier, they are now the Hahns Peak Roadhouse. They are sledder friendly. The new owners are local, and also sled themselves.

Service has greatly improved over what was SLO, and other local resturant owners have said they have felt the effects (lack of buisness) by the new Roadhouse.

We stopped in for a few brews over Pres weekend and the place was packed. Didn't eat, but I hear the cook is top notch. Snow was getting good about then too.

I stayed up at Hahns Peak Roadhouse this weekend. Nice cabins, unchanged from when it was SLO. Tons of sledders up there. Majority of the cabins had trailers outside. We ended up eating dinner and hanging out at the roadhouse lodge saturday night. Great atmosphere. Really nice people. They even had live music saturday night.

The best thing about the new ownership is the cook. They got the cook from Dutch Creek. And if you had ever eaten there you know what i mean. Sad to see Dutch Creek was bought and will no longer be run as a guest ranch.

Amazing snow this weekend by the way.

Hans Peak RH is great. We stayed 3 nights and it was killer. Food was off the hook and the new owners are awesome.

Snowmobile rentals are out of the Steamboat Lake Marina. I'll also say that the food at Hans Peak RH is pretty good. Only had breakfast there, but they made me a MEAN burrito!!
