sledding in revelstoke

Thanks for the very useful Info guys - we have guides booked for the 3 days we are there - not familiar with the area at all and want to get the max effect instead of wandering around aimlessly. If they don't provide the beacons, shovels etc I will make sure we can rent those items or buy before we get there. I would think that the guides would do alittle pre ride intro before unleasing us on the MTN.

Boulder Yesterday, and Frisbee today.

Only 6.5 feet of snow when I was here on Christmas eve, and WHAT a difference now.
Snow post says about 8 feet, but I bet there is 4 feet of powder, and super fresh snow on both hills.

We're with some ladies, old guys and young kids, so being a young buck, I get the "oppurtunity" to help dig everyone out.

Was on the hill for 7 hours today, spent probabaly 6 of those to dig people out.
Never went more than 5 minutes with out a stuck.

Still a little sketched out after that Fernie slide though.:face-icon-small-sad

All in all, it is definaltey worth the trip now.

powder

I was one range over from boulder and we couldn't even make into the alpine, stuck going downhill a few times, light powder and hardly a base, tough conditions to get any momentum.

boulder was awesome with the fresh powder

here r some pics from there. It was totally awesome with the fresh powder.Kinda sucked being socked in but had fun still anyways.
