sledding in revelstoke

Revy Snow

Played in the trees all day Friday, had a blast...Several stucks for all that followed, true test of friendship among riders.

Down thru the Bull Pen on Saturday, was able to pull thru the notch after several pulls, plenty of snow for that but they need plenty more...Went into the Helicopter Bowl in the afternoon, took 2-3 hours to get out. I believe we were the first in there this year, thought we were going to have to spend the night, but eventually we got out...for those that are thinking of dropping in there, don't. They need more snow because there are lots of tree tops sticking out & they are hard to manouver around when climbing. Lots of craters in the bottom as well...All in all a great time was had, as usual. Riding memories & Zala memories...

Snow conditions

Getting back to the snow conditions.........
Gary and I were up at Boulder Monday.
We probed in an area close to supperbowl and got
200 cm (6 feet) and about 8 ft in other spots.
we found lots of areas with untouched pow and carved it up.
I took a pic of turbo (little avy---the snow had slid on it)
and a pic of superbowl with Gary's camera
We had sun all day and braved the wind chill which wasn't too bad

All in all well worth the trip and definately worth the drive

Trail was groomed when we got on it monday morning and no complaints.
Any snow from now on, pack it down and it'll make an excellent base
If I get the pics from gary I'll post the pic of Turbo

we probed in several places on the weekend & found anywhere from 6-8ft...Probably the minimum amount of snow to play in, it covered most of the land mines at least...needa couple more feet before I go back.

Rode Keystone on Monday and Boulder on Tuesday. Freakin' COLD!! Found a few rocks in Boulder...Keystone has great coverage, and as usual, the trail sux!!!

Only took a couple of pics...
