Sled stuck in Revelstoke

I was in Revelstoke last week and the snow was good, it snowed the day we were leaving.

I had to leave my sled up there, is there anyone going in the next week or two from South Dakota, North Dakota or Minnesota. I live in Aberdeen, SD and would like to get my sled home.

It blew up and we had to get a helicopter the day after we left to get it out. It is at Carbon Daddy's place.

Thanks
Mark

Sorry to hear man. We were out there last week and almost had to leave (Heli) three sleds out there. First guy though dropping off into Toilet Bowl would be a sweet idea. Thankfully some great local riders were around to help us get that sled out that night before it got snowed in. A couple days later, we made fresh tracks all the way back to Turbo, then we have a 900 blow a recoil and almost destroy the stator. Thankfully got it running, because the snow was deeeep... Our last day we shoveled our way across that norrow ridge across Frisby. We get past the tower and drop into a bowl, then the newest sled in the group 800XP, dies. He loses the mag side cylinder. 5 hour later we get that one home. First time in the Canadian rockies. Man what a trip. First 4 days the visability sucked, but the last two days, were incredible.

Brian ..glad to hear you guys had a good remainder of the week .. I was riding with the guys that went back in and got your buddies cat 6 out of the TB (I stayed in the cabin and ate beef jerky).. my wife is still P.O'd as to how late we finally made contact that night. Another chapter for "story time"

Revy must be cursed! Every time I read about a group from the US that goes up there something bad always happens, like a sled blowing up or something. I am scared to go up there!

Revy is far from cursed. (Visability maybe) We just had a guy make a rookie mistake, almost a very expensive mistake. What a great place to ride with great people. I will definitely go back someday. Sounded like the Ski Doo in our group lost a rod bearing. Too bad those things have so many gremlins because they are unreal machines.

That night we went up to get the 6 was probably the most fun I have ever had. Going down there, helping dig sleds out, and watching those guys fly up the hill in the deepest snow I have ever seen.:D

Don't get me wrong though! Just looking at the pics that people post here makes me drool with envy. I wish we had a 1/3rd of that terrain here.
