Who do you guys use and what od you pay? Looking for "stand alone" insurance.

Progressive "stand alone". Full replacement value and 25k pip. 365.00 yr. on a 09 M-8 SP

Apples to Apples

As with any coverage it depends on coverage limits, risk category and other applicable items.... Deductable amount etc. (many more factors) but you get my drift. $500.00 certainly seems a bit high but for farmers "stand alone" policy that is probably right there. I recommend a Insurance broker for this type of transaction, they can shop every year for you depending on your needs. A good broker will do this without asking especially if you have multiple policies with them. A commission on a stand alone policy is not much so I am sure it's not a priority for any unfortunaltey (thats customer service these days)

I pay $176.00 for full coverage.....BUT...it is a 600 and a 04. I'm sure they take that into account.....It's through State Farm. I also have a $500 deductible.
Shop around......:beer;

Insurance Shock

$218 for my 12 month policy coverage through Nationwide for my 06 POO 700 RMK. As we all know the insurance companies look over your credit history tooth and nail so that should also be factored in when it comes to a quote ( oh and yes.....your driving record amoungst other things)

I used foremost which farms it out to AIG, cost me around 200 a year, pretty easy to work with to, last year I damaged my sled and they payed out 4.5k to fix it, all I had to do was send them photos, and fill out a report. Not much hassle check came quick and I was able to get the check out to me so I could do the repairs myself so I didn't have to wait in a que @ my local dealer which was pretty busy at the time.

You would think that might be a factor, BUT how do you explain the price differences here, for instance mine seems to be on the high end and I have beyond EXCELLENT credit, a class a CDL with a perfect driving record. I'm just curious.

I spend $128 a year for full coverage ($12k replacement) on a brand new '09 M8 SP. It is thru Allstate, I do have Allstate for everything home/car/truck/3 other sleds/rental/trailer/etc...So I may get better rates than a stand alone policy.

It has a $500 deductible on collision and $250 on any comprehensive claim. Also, for $8 additional (which I signed up fo) it covers recovery service if needed. Need not to be wrecked, just inoperatable.

Scott: Keep that insurance paid up. Just in case we have a head-on some weekday on the trail when we each think we're the only one up on the 119 road. I'm just sayin' :beer; :beer; :beer;

Allstate
$30 a month full coverage and replacement $500 deduct.
I pay $12 a month in the off season for comprehensive only.
I used it a few years back when I totaled my sled, they payed around $5,000 and I kept the sled and fixed it.

Allstate -Three sleds 340.00 total per year full coverage ACV not replacement value. I also have had three claims in 9 years and they paid out no problem.Go figure!!? I kept waiting for them to cancel. I also have homeowners,auto and motorhome thru Allstate.
