Women... go figure! (wink)
YUP!
wasatchrider - thanks for posting the weights! The weight differences between the 6-7-8 seems to get sooooooooooo overly exaggerated!

Women... go figure! (wink)
I stand corrected..thank you for setting the record straight there. You were also 6lbs off though..just had to say thatnot sure where you are getting your info on weights
these a straight from polaris industries claimed weights all 155
600 484 lbs
700 486 lbs
800 487 lbs
800 dragon 472 lbs
the only thing your doing by going less ccs is saving money not weight
I stand corrected..thank you for setting the record straight there. You were also 6lbs off though..just had to say thatI was refering to a 600ho..so 2009 cfi weights wouldnt apply. Anyway... I have no idea where that weight thing came from...perhaps I was thinking of the horse power difference on paper..120 vs 154..thats about 35(34)..crapola..or maybe I was thinking of the difference of the 600 vs her old skidoozx700 i think that was around at least 20lbs heavier. For some reason that 600 just seems so much easier to throw around..i am having a hard time believing it's only 9 lbs different regardless of what Polaris prints..from what it feels like under the seat of the pants..compared to an 08dragon8(487lbs), maybe it isnt trenching as much frick who knows,,it just doesnt matter that much anyway.
If it was only about a weight difference then the skidoo xp beats the hell out of us anyway.
None the less the moral of the story still is the same..it is hard to argue that it is not a good sled for a female rider with limited upper body strength..wouldnt you agree? That was the whole point...
Any updates to this?
PE, what did you / she get?
Getting to be that time of the season... the getting a sled for the wife season...
That is her..
I am thinking just a regular 600. Trying to keep costs down, and she is a complete beginner too, and light. I have ridden with big guys on 600's and they still go places I don't want to go...Go for the D7, it's the perfect sled for her...but then you'll need to upgrade so you can keep up![]()
